Dwindling and Reserve

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to talk about how having buffers is an important concept for me!

Dwindling and Reserve

I like to have reserves, but sometimes those dwindle!

Writing posts is certainly something I have enjoyed for a long time. Given that it's been 3 years of posting daily, that means it's really engrained into my habits these days! There are certainly fluctuations of that, and that's to be expected.

We recently went on vacation, and that meant that I needed to write a fair bit more posts than I normally do, in a shorter timeframe. That's okay because there is plenty of content there, and all of it I enjoyed writing. The challenge with it though is that I have a really good bit of leeway in terms of taking a slight break when we are at the place, compared to when we get back. When we get back, I'm slightly used to the leeway!

I was pretty diligent and wrote a week buffer into my schedule which is good because it allowed for any things that popped up when we got back, to happen without me getting messed up. Some say that it's silly and foolish to be concerned about my posting, but I think it's one of those habits that we have and would like to continue. Is it the end of the world if it ends? Nope! But just like other things we enjoy, we try to maintain it as much as we can simply for the fact we enjoy it. I would rather have that as a habit than smoking or something stupid lol.

When I started to write again, I had I think 2 days left of posts in the queue before I was really in trouble, and it was good to get back to writing, but I felt a little nervous! Two days is a good buffer.. but it wasn't long enough. I was able to put out several posts and building that buffer back up, but damn it was funny how nervous I was getting. Nervous may not be the right word, but I was making sure that I would get to writing regardless of what I was doing so that I could build that buffer back up.

Thankfully I'm back up to about a week, but I would love to extend that to 2 weeks if possible. There are some uncertain waters on the horizon in the coming weeks and months, so being able to roll with that as best I can is definitely going to be a good thing!

Ah dude, about this...

I've currently got 2,900 PRE tokens, with a market value of $180.27. It doesn't sound like a lot but when you search using sites like Google you get paid $0!

I don't want to be a bummer, but that many PRE tokens is worth like $30 not $180.

Hahaha yeah dude, I know. I will update my signature this week and remove it entirely. I stopped using Presearch a while ago! I don't even know what the price is right now, but I've got like 4k PRE.

Oh nice! I bought like 27K to advertise on PRE, and, ah, I am filled with regret.

You win some, you lose some!

Lol.

I only noticed because I've been burnt a bit by PRE.

I actually have no clue what it is, never heard of it.

You're not missing anything... it's a search engine (https://presearch.com/) with crypto (PRE) that you can own to bid for ads... which is not a bad idea, but also...

Sooooo yeah.

Ah ok...seems like something I'm definitely glad I didn't know about.

I mainly liked it because it wasn't g*%gle and their monopoly on selling peoples data and search. Now we've got lots of alternatives and some are a lot better. I don't mind the Presearch concept, it's just not in my area of interest at the moment.

I try to do whatever I can to not use g}%gle services, which sadly duck duck go is also a part of now. I’ve expanded to several others but mostly using the search built into Brave.

I get it...Gooble gets the use because it's easy and people don't want to find alternatives...or those alternatives aren't as smooth. I totally understand.

Just updated the template :D the first post should come out later this week! I kept Presearch in there but removed the numbers and shit.

I used to have this from not presenting the reviews for a few weeks or so - i'd freak out that i'd reset to the first one's delivery. I was literally overthinking it, it did take a little longer to refine my style initially, but then it was like riding a bike, the challenge now is fitting in enough relief gaps, thank you and keep on writing and sharing your wonderful pics.

Thanks for stopping by :D yeah it's good to find the balances and getting ourselves into the zone. My first discussions with a group full of people for my work were nerve wracking now it’s a bit of an old hat. I present to dozens of people at a time, sometimes more and as long as I’m briefed on the topic I’m good.

I need to do a better job of that. I blew through my summer posts way too quickly and now here I am struggling to find stuff to write about. I mean I think I stretched my Colorado trip into a months worth of posts, but I should have splashed some other stuff in there!

Haha yeah I hear you man. I've done that with some of the content before like my DIY posts that I thought were going to be 4 or 5 posts, ended up being 1 maybe 2 lol. Then you're like damn what now? Hahaha.

yeah I like it. Sometimes pauses are SO important, and I feel when I need them. Life teaches us to be in a hurry, better to say not the life but the System. And we have to teach ourselves to stop sometimes

Yeah for sure it's like hitting a nice reset button! Eventually I'll take a nice reset again but who knows when. I'm enjoying what I'm doing now and that's a good thing!

Quite an interesting article and I like snowy places.

Thanks we had some good snow here so I got inspiration!

I think my main buffers in life are probably financial related. Not that I am rich or something, but from the perspective of savings, so that in the event of any unforeseen circumstances, I don't have to worry about expenses.

That's really important and I'm glad that you have that! It's really sad that people are so heavily in debt that they can't afford an unexpected life expense if it comes up. Really sad times we are in! I think the tide is turning though - especially after the supply chain collapsed and people were trying to figure out how to get things, it put the unnecessary spending into perspective.
