This year we had two family graduate. The first was. my niece "Barbie" Pan. She graduated with a masters in pharmacology.
We are all very proud of her. Needless to say, she worked extremely hard during her academic life. She was one of those students that worked hard, while others walked on her and even her advisors asked her to help other students finish their work. Basically, they wanted that student to complete the assignment and handed it to her to finish. Very dishonest for the advisors to do, but Barbie is a loving soul that is always willing to help. When I asked her about reporting the incident, she said that she needs the academic advisors' support if she continues to graduate school. Hence, reporting it would be shooting herself in the foot. Anyway, she finished and we are very proud. She will continue in graduate school after her study is published.
The picture above is her generation of family members. The picture with us isn't as cute.
The second graduating star is my youngest. He finished his elementary school life. He was also in Barbie's graduation picture.
In this picture, he is wearing his uniform. A tradition in Taiwan is for your friends to sign their names and maybe write or draw something encouraging. A fun tradition. Since the uniforms are numbered, I guess it doesn't hurt. No one else would use his shirt.
This picture is of the three of us outside of his graduation ceremony. My two old children are in the US and were unable to attend. Unlike Barbie's graduation, no cap and gown, just a white shirt, dark pants and some love. Next stop, junior high school.
All pictures taken by family members. Mostly with iphone 14s.
