Acclimatizing to a More Frequent Blogging Schedule!

So I set myself these goals of saving up money for a new computer by the end of 2025, and substantially using blogging on Hive as part of how I'm going to reach that goal.

Of course it's one thing to set some ambitious goals and quite another to execute a plan that will actually make those goals come to fruition.

One of the first things I'm realizing here is that I am clearly not used to coming up with as many new things to write about us I thought I might be.

That doesn't mean I'm giving up on anything... because I do realize that one of the ways you succeed is by "showing up every day." But it does mean that I'm going to start casting about for other ways to add a little bit to the savings, perhaps through some trading and other sideline ventures.

We also talked about the possibility of selling some of our attic junk from around here and adding the proceeds to HBD savings.

To that end, I'm starting to research the most convenient and easy ways to yet from fiat dollars on eBay to my HBD savings balance.

Sometimes it makes me a little sad that we live in the USA where everything seems to be so crypto unfriendly, and they make it extremely difficult for people to actually get into crypto. Mostly I'm just looking for options that don't have too enormously high commissions, fees and other transaction costs.

Since I make my eBay money in relatively small chunks it isn't viable for us to buy many hundreds or thousands of Hive with every transaction. Perhaps the best option is to use one of the services that let you buy a stablecoin like USDT with a debit card or cash.app and transfer it directly into Hive-Engine and go from there.

I guess part of the good thing about doing what I'm doing here is I'm also going to learn some more about crypto!

I never fancied myself a trader of any sort... I have typically just been content to buy an asset and then hold on to it for a very long time. I mean, why trade it, as long as the original premise remains solid and there's a good business plan in place and being executed.

Of course, that's one of the oddities of the Cryptosphere: A lot of the time there is no business plan... just promises and Hopium.

Well... I'm sure I'll figure it all out as I go along!

Thanks for coming to visit, and do leave a comment if you feel so inclined! This is "social" media, after all, so it helps everyone when we make the effort to BE social with our fellow content creators!

Go for it ! Trickling a bit into HIVE or HBD every week soon builds up, and once you get into the habit it just becomes part of the routine. You just kind of wake up one day, see the HBD interest come in and think "hey, that's starting to be a bit more than just beer money !"
