My Hive Goals and Saturday Savers Club: Late January 2025 Update

in #hive-1503296 days ago

Final weekend of January, so I thought this would be a good time for a quick update. I like to "add a benchmark" every now and then to keep track of how things are going.

I am also part of the #saturdaysavers but I just don't get enough movement to warrant a weekly update, so I am updating monthly.

It was not that much of a month, as far as moving towards my goals.

My two primary goals for 2025 is to (1) reach 1,200 Hive Power and (2) accumulate 250 EDSI (formerly EDS) tokens.

Both of these are probably a bit on the ambitious side, but giving it a go!

I have a whole lot of "minor" goals as well... I actually ended up making a new spreadsheet layout so I could look at everything together in one place:

My two primary goals are bolded and outlined.

Of course, there's definitely a good part of all this that will be influenced by what is going on in the broader crypto and financial markets. We'll just have to wait and see on that one!

Crypto and the New US Administration

I am at least cautiously optimistic that the climate for crypto in the USA will become a little friendlier and less congested under the new administration.

One of the biggest challenges I have faced with crypto for the past few years is what feels like a "tightening noose" around our necks as far as even being able to transact crypto.

The vast majority of CEXs have a "Not available in your region" message for potential customers in the USA. Will that go away, under the Trump administration? I am at least hopeful.

Nothing to make you want to not touch crypto than the possibility that you can't actually do anything with it, like trade it!

Well, no telling how this year is going to go... and the first update doesn't really tell me a lot... yet.

Above all, I'd just like to find the time and inspiration to blog more often. We'll see how that goes!

Feel free to leave a comment — this IS "social" media, after all!
