Did You Know Chameleon

There are many types of reptile animals, one of which is a lizard. One of the interesting types of lizards is the chameleon. Yes! this time I will post about chameleons. The picture I took while fishing near the river.

Chameleon is a special name for various types of lizards that have the ability to change the color of their skin. Chameleons have the ability to change their skin color according to their surroundings. When the chameleon is on the ground, the color of its skin will be the same as the color of the ground, when the chameleon is on a tree trunk, it will change the color of its skin to match the color of the tree's bark, and so on.

For those of you who have chameleons or are trying to catch them, be careful. Although this animal is not poisonous and dangerous. But if you get bitten, of course it will cause pain.

Being a 'chameleon' is of course not in the truest sense, but only a term or proverb that describes the character or character of someone who is inconsistent, not firm in his convictions.

Chameleons are insectivorous reptiles that usually eat insects such as flies, crickets and grasshoppers. However, due to their environmental conditions, chameleons can also opportunistically eat plants. The chameleon's diet consists mainly of small insects, which are the main source of protein.

Chameleons are animals capable of mimicry. When it senses danger, the chameleon can change its body color according to where it is. Chameleons adapt by performing mimicry, namely changing the color of their skin according to the environment/place they perch. By changing the color of its skin according to its environment, the chameleon is protected from predators as well as disguised from the animals it will prey on.

As for water, chameleons drink from water droplets that condense on leaves. Because of this, regular misting is necessary to ensure the chameleon is well hydrated. This can be done by hand and using tools.

It turns out that the chameleon's tail cannot grow back if it has been cut off by a predator that attacks it. This is different from animals such as lizards which can get a new tail if it is cut off when attacked by prey. This means that the chameleon's tail will break off by itself and can no longer grow.

The benefits of chameleon animals for humans are as pets. The benefits of chameleons for the environment are as insectivorous carnivores in the food chain.

Iguanas have long and strong tails which they use to attack enemies, but chameleons have prehensile tails. Chameleons spend a fair amount of time in trees throughout their lives. They may use their tail to hold onto branches while climbing or to help them catch prey.

That's a review post about chameleons. Hopefully useful, don't forget to follow, like, and share. Thank You.
