A Blend of Function and Fun down at the Quirky Shed Yard

Visiting a yard that sold sheds may not sound like a typical day out, but curiosity led us there for a funny experience. We had heard rumours that this particular shed yard was quite quirky, filled with amusing statues and eccentric decorations. Although we had no interest in purchasing a shed, the prospect of seeing the funny sculptures drew us in. At the entrance, we were greeted by giraffes, a dinosaur on the roof and Dr Who's TARDIS. It was a good start!

We were also welcomed by the owner, a friendly chap who was clearly passionate about his collection. He was definitely friendlier than the giant Incredible Hulk on the roof!

As we were shown inside, we found a few animated skeletons. There was a bit of a theme going on as the owner did seem to have a liking for skulls, skeletons, and zombies.

For UK viewers, there were life-size figures of Derek and Rodney Trotter on the roof. They are characters from the 1980s UK TV comedy 'Only Fools and Horses', which follows two brothers who are market traders who buy and sell various goods in their dream of becoming rich. Their company is called Trotter's Independent Traders, (TITS) for short! They used to drive a 3 wheeled yellow reliant robin. It was very funny in its time.

A triceratops was looking down on us. I would have liked to have seen them getting all of these statues on the roof.

Statues of various characters, including Wenda, gorillas, dragons, and many more, were dotted around the place.

The owner also rescues a variety of animals. He is definitely the right person to build an enclosure for the meerkats.

Our visit to the shed yard was much more than a trip to look at sheds. It became a visit to look at the art. The friendly owner and his quirky collection of statues turned a simple shed yard into an interesting and fun visit. However, if I do need a shed, I know where to go!

Wow! Quite an entertaining place! I would love to walk around this place myself!
He should have more statues to turn this into a museum of art.
The owner seems to be very kind and out of date with his perception of reality! 😂
That’s why he enjoyed his lifestyle very much.

It's a good business tactic because people are visiting just to see the statues. Hopefully, they might buy a shed while they're there. 😁
