I have noticed ever since I was a child. I noticed how some things work just fine when you are powerful. For example if you are rich you can get drunk, kill few people and run away. And even police will let you go after paying the money and there is no karma for punishment.
Then comes the part where some of the things like say you are seeing people smuggle, do drugs or sell things which are illegal and you are supposed to stay silent after viewing that. And if you don't then they treat you like you are going to get killed. So you are meant to be powerful if you want to then approach such issues.
In short the silence comes in more if you are weak financially and physically. Either one you have to approach in the right mindset. So it all comes down to what leverage you have on the society.
Take example on Hive, you can get silenced if you are not in connection with witness or if you have no friends here. And this means you have to be silent. You can notice a pattern that there are people who hate twitter but yet they remain on twitter and then there are people who use other socials but lie on hive that they are not using any other site than hive.
I think hypocrisy is one thing and telling and shilling hive while being on other sites and doing same pattern there is another. And all of this would work out when you are silenced and then there is nothing you can say about those things. And this means drama happens when you are not powerful. We have to understand that power and the people you know makes things easy for freedom of speech.
Next time someone tells you that you need to be free and all that you could get silenced. Always remember that people you know and the connection or networks you make is what makes you more powerful. This is how you are going to be more vocal when you have people to back you up!
