Hey everyone. This is my entry to the photo contest. I dug through some old hiking photos from Colorado and found some beauties that make me miss the high country, while the Cascades are nice and beautiful to live in they just don't fill my heart with the happiness the Rockies do. Ayways, it was hard to pick but I think the best choice out of these is the Rocky Mountain Poppy or Papaver alpinum. I've included some other wild flower photos. All of these were taken in the James Peak Wilderness.
Some of Colorados state flower, the Columbine.
Western Wallflower
Mountain Harebell (I think)
Hope you enjoyed the photos, I know I loved taking them and looking back through them has me wanting to take a trip back home.
