Going through life's maze
Like many other millennials, I often feel that my actions aren't taking me anywhere. Luckily, I've come across a few tests that have helped give me some sense of direction: CliftonStrengths, showing me what my talents are, and MBTI, helping me uncover how my mind prefers working through things (and how differently it processes things compared to other people).
After giving it a lot of thought and reading about how adults are usually best at doing what they were already doing at the age of 3, it became obvious that I should just keep gaming and creating content. In one way or another, that's all I've been doing for my whole life, so it can turn into a profitable exercise if well organized..
My new YouTube mentors
All that said, there are a lot of skills I could pick up, but before I dive into them, I figured diving into how to be a better learner would be the better idea. Not exactly growing younger now. These are the YouTube channels I'm using to be a better learner along with why they help me thrive:
Justin Sung's YouTube Channel - Justin Sung bridges research about learning and practices about learning. This means you get the knowledge and pro tips from a grade A+ student who excels in learning as a skill as a whole, with a lot of experience to prove his expertise. NOTE: Give preference to his newest videos! He has really refined his content over time, making older videos kind of obsolete.
Archer Newton's YouTube Channel - Archer Newton provides easy, productive tips and suggestions we can apply to our schedule.
If you, too, struggle with life's meaning, I hope what I've referenced here can lead you to a better place in our journeys.
