"Why should you be a runner? Why not a director, a doctor, a businessman or something else? Why do you just wanna be a runner?" That's what a dad has often asked his son, James, since he was a child. But somehow, he also didn't know, but he wanted to be a runner. James wished he could run like The Flash (a superhero character who can run as fast as lightning). He wanted to be the fastest runner in the world. He didn't want to inherit the five companies his dad owned. James just wanted to run and run because he really loved to run. Maybe only God knows the answer.

In his childhood, James rode a tricycle. He loved that tricycle because his dad bought it. He was proud to ride it and all the eyes of children his age would surely glance with envy. But one day, a naughty kid pushed James down and stole his tricycle. James burst into tears and ran with all his might to catch his stolen tricycle. At that moment he realized that running was very enjoyable. He really enjoyed his fast heartbeat. He really enjoyed the sweat that flows and his breath began to rush. He even enjoyed the feeling of tiredness and soreness in his legs. He enjoyed all of them. He stopped crying and then laughed happily because he found his goal in life, which was to keep running. James wanted to tell his dad not to have to buy him another tricycle. He just wanted to keep running, but the next day a brand new tricycle was neatly wrapped up in his room. He had never ridden it until now. He preferred to run.

At the age of 15, James decided to be a runner athlete. But his dad was furious when he heard that and he more strictly forbade James to run. His desire to enter the national runner athlete training has failed. A motorcycle was also neatly wrapped in front of his room the next day. But he denied to use it. He just wanted to keep running. Even at the school, James deliberately enrolled in an additional lesson in runner athletes. But soon he was transferred to another country for business school, where there were no running lessons. But he didn't give up to keep running, even though a driver and Mercedes-Benz were available to take him. James chose to keep running.

10 years later, his dad left him a company to manage. But James denied that because he decided to be a runner athlete. His dad was very angry until he got sick. James had no choice but to serve as a director at the company with a salary of $2500 per month. He didn't stop running. He ran from home to his office even though the distance was quite far, but he really enjoyed it. The office operating car, a BMW, he sold to reduce company costs because he didn't need it. James' company was growing rapidly, but his dad didn't look happy. He just wanted his son to stop running.

James was 32 years old, and it was the last age of his life. A robber stabbed him while he was running home at 11 pm. The robber stole James' wallet. When at the funeral, many people came to visit and some of them took pity on James. They thought he must be regret that he didn't want to use a safe car instead just kept running. But they were wrong. James never regretted because he knew he lived to keep running.

Unik ceritanya, btw lari itu lelah tapi sehat 👍😁

Iya bener mah. Itu bisa jd salah satu alasan knp James suka berlari, tapi gak tertulis. Makanya di sepanjang cerita, James selalu sehat — gak ada keterangan/adegannya yg lagi sakit. 😁

Reading this gave me motivational vibes.
A person should do what he is interested in. If James's father was happy with the interest of James, then James would have been much ahead.

Yeah, it would be like that. In general, some parents will agree with their children's interests. On the other hand, some parents will refuse and just want their children to do what they want. Well, that's what gave me the idea to write that story :)

By the way, thanks for reading 🙏🏻

Gald to see that We are of one mind. ✨
Parents should support their children in the field in which they interested.
