The theme for this week:
There are so many metals in the world: like gold, silver, platinum, iron, copper and so on...
For this round of the #POBPhotocontest I want you to to submit a photo of something that is made from any kind of metal. Shiny or rusty doesn't matter. As long as it's an interesting shot!
As an example I'm sharing the following picture of an copper dragon that I photographed in the watchtower museum in Ghent (Belgium) a while ago. This is the former dragon that was on top of the watchtower. The new dragon has a layer of gold.
About the POBPhotocontest
The #POBPhotoContest is a weekly photography competition featuring a new theme each week. It runs from Sunday to the following Sunday, closing at 8:00 PM CEST.
This contest is open to everyone—whether you're an experienced photographer with professional gear or a beginner capturing shots on your phone. All are welcome to join!
Each week, you can participate by creating a blog post featuring at least one photo that aligns with the current theme. Make sure to place your themed photo as the first image in the post. While you can submit an archived photo, it’s more engaging to head out and capture something new!
Your photo should tell a story on its own, but add context in your post. Share background details about the subject, location, techniques you used, and your inspiration for selecting this photo. Don’t forget to tag your post with #POBPhotoContest so I can find your entry!
You’re also welcome to leave a comment on this post with your photo and a link to your blog entry.
Comments with entries that are posted within the first three days after the announcement post will get an upvote and share 100% of the author rewards of this post via the @commentrewarder initiative!
The contest ends next Sunday at 8:00 PM CEST, after which I’ll review the entries and select three winners. Judging will be based on both photo quality and originality, as well as the accompanying background information in your post.
Winners will receive POB tokens and Ecency points.

POB stands for "Proof of Brain," a community on Hive where you can post about any topic. The community has its own token, POB. By posting in the Proof of Brain community or using the #POB or #ProofOfBrain tags, you can earn POB tokens.
When you stake your POB tokens, you can also earn curation rewards by voting on posts tagged with POB. To see your POB token balance, visit Hive Engine.
If you’re not actively using your POB tokens, consider delegating them to my POB account, friendmoose.pob, which I use to curate photography posts in the community.
What is Ecency?
Ecency is a social network on Hive that rewards content creators with Hive and points. Ecency points can be used to promote or boost your content, and can even be transferred or gifted to another user.
