Good night every body!
The last view day's there was a spectacular night sky in the Netherlands!
It's hard to predict when it appears, so it's hard to go out for a nice place to shoot it!
But from my balcony I could see it above the treeline!
These are Luminous night clouds! And normally they appear right after sunset and just before sunrise. The luminous effect is created by ice crystals on small dust particles in the clouds, which are illuminated by the sun that is disappearing behind the horizon.
There was a lot of Sahara dust in the sky the last couple of day's! So probably the ice crystals attach to that dust!
Have you ever seen clouds like this in you country?
I like it here that you clearly see the depth of the luminous clouds in the distance and the low clouds in the front!!
Here I got the feelingthe clouds were very very high in the sky!
