This time I'm joining this community's POB Weekly Photo Contest. This week's theme is RELIGION, and the first thing that came to my mind when I read what it was about was a church. To me, churches are very beautiful and majestic buildings, with elegant architecture. These photos are of the exterior of the church of St. Francis of Assisi, located in Old Havana, Cuba, which has a high historical and cultural value, and is nominated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
This beautiful stone structure has been standing since the 18th century and underwent a restoration process at the end of the last century. It is currently the seat of the Museum of Religious Art in Cuba. It is a very visited place and is located in one of the busiest squares of the city.
