New discoveries on the Moon Titan.

Titan is a giant moon, it is 5149 km in diameter, its diameter is 270 km larger than the Planet Mercury, if it orbited the sun it would undoubtedly be considered a planet, even so, it is the second largest Moon in the solar system surpassed only by 120 km in diameter by Jupiter's moon Ganymede, which is the largest of all.

Titan is the only known place outside Earth that has a surface where liquids flow where it rains and where rivers, lakes and even small seas are formed, the only known place that has a solid surface with that combination of rivers, rain, seas, lakes It would also be the only surface outside the Earth on which we could walk without the need for a pressurized space suit.

You could walk around Titan much better than for example on Mars, because on Mars you need a pressurized space suit because Mars the atmospheric pressure is very weak, it is only one hundredth of the Earth, it is similar to what we would find about 50 km from altitude on earth, but the atmospheric pressure on titan is one and a half times that of the earth, it is perfectly adaptable to our body and our organism, so we could walk on titan well wrapped up because it is very cold, but with a gas mask, Since Titan's air does not contain oxygen, we simply need the gas mask with oxygen and its tank.

Keep in mind that gravity on Titan is very low, an 80 kg person on Titan would only weigh 11.5 kg. on titan that is even less than on the moon, the moon has a little more gravity than titan, titan is larger than the moon because what is important in gravity is obviously the mass, but density is fundamental, the moon despite Although our moon is smaller than Titan, its density is much greater and the gravity on the moon is somewhat greater than on Titan.

If on Titan, we lost a glove, our fingers could freeze in seconds it would certainly be something dramatic, but we would not die instantly from the lack of pressure, nor would our body explode like in some movies; We could run to the base and be treated there.

On Titan complex chemical reactions occur, clouds occur, rain occurs, in fact, the problem we have with titan is that the density of the clouds is so enormous that we cannot directly see the surface, the problem with titan to explore it is that the clouds are very opaque and so the images we have except those of the Cassini spacecraft that landed on Titan are all radar images which is not a direct view of the surface.

In the previous radar images, almost all of Titan's lakes and seas are curiously concentrated around the North Pole. It is believed that this area is where the most suitable temperatures occur for ethane and methane to be in a liquid state, perhaps cycles exist on Titan and every few centuries or millennia this turns around and the southern hemisphere ends up being the most suitable for these lakes, we do not know, there may be complex cycles on Titan.

These lakes are nourished thanks to Rivers, the largest of them is the Kraken Sea, which is about half a million square kilometers, it is a little larger than the Black Sea on Earth, the Black Sea is the one that is located between Ukraine , Russia, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Georgia, even this sea has a connection with the other great Lake of Titan and it is believed that many of these great lakes are connected to each other, this hypothesis of the lakes was only a hypothesis, It's an idea, in the books from before 2007 it was only assumed that liquids might exist on the surface of Titan but there was no certainty. That certainty was achieved thanks to NASA's Cassini spacecraft in 2007.

Since then, scientists have carefully studied all these images in search of clues because where there are liquids, where there is chemical activity, where there are these fluids, this rain, these Rivers, there may also be activity that favors the development of life, perhaps not life as it is. We know it, perhaps it is a life not based on water, but based on carbon.
