I have been mulling over a new laptop or notebook for quite some time, almost nine months ago. My old laptop was almost eight years old with the old Window 7 operating system. I looked after my old notebook very well though the keyboard went stray and I had to get an external keyboard. Three months ago, a strange voice told me to turn into a computer shop at the mall. I was just looking around to update myself with new computers.
A friendly staff was very nice to me and answered all my silly questions. I told him that I couldn’t afford to buy a new notebook but mine was getting too old and about to fall into pieces. I might be forced to upgrade one day. So, I ought to get some updates on notebooks and prices. Although he knew that I had no intention of buying, he answered all my questions and gave me comparisons between different notebooks within my price ranges. I took photos of the model that I would like to buy the following year. I told him I would come back after the new year hoping that there would be some special deals.
After the new year, the little voice told me to visit the computer shop again. I met the old staff who answered all my questions three months ago. He couldn’t recognise me but he remembered vaguely that he had to spend so much time with a customer without any purchase. I told him that I came back as I promised. I couldn’t find the photos of the notebook I was interested in last time. So, we had to start looking for the model once again. Finally, the kind staff could identify the model but it was sold out.
So, he suggested another model within my price range. I was left to choose between two models. I tried to compare these two notebook and tested how heavy or light they were. To my surprise, these were very light as the cases were made from plastic. I told the staff that I was used to using heavy notebooks with metal cases. I was afraid that the thin plastic case would be too fragile and broken too easily. So, he suggested an old model with aluminum case but he would have to order it from the main store. That would take another day for the delivery.
As I had another meeting with my friend in her office, I told him I had to come back the following day to make my final decision. I asked permission to take photos of the store for my blog. I spent a busy day at my friend’s office, she was packing up her things as some big renovations woulf start very soon. I did my work while keeping her company as she was working during the weekend with noone around. I was lucky as she treated me dinner at the local Japanese restaurant.
The following I did go back to the computer shop to buy a new laptop. I phoned the staff to order the laptop for me as I would be arriving at the shop in two hours. By the time I got there, yhe new laptop was waiting for me. The kind staff took about an hour to set up the machine and update the software. So, took some more photos of this shop and worked on my blog. I was the only customer in the shop. The staff told me that business was good during the long holiday. I could pay for the new laptop on ten installments which made my life much easier. I would have to finance my big purchase with my crypto.
I have been very lucky to get into blocking on Hive years ago by chance. I read an article on the newspaper, the technology section, which raised my curiosity. It took me seceral days to figure out how to get started as the whole concept was strange to me and the learning curve wascquute steep for a low-tech person. This blockchain has been quite revolutionary and avant guard in many ways. So, i hioe that at least a killer app would be built on this blockchain soon.
Wishing you peace, good health and prosperity.
Stay strong and cheerful.
