Seeing planes arriving and departing always makes me wonder where they are off to. Are the passengers off on an adventure, or is this a regular workday for them.

Even before Covid, all of my recent travels have been road trips to explore the United States and bits of Canada, so it's been years since I last traveled by plane. Traveling by plane is certainly not my favorite mode of transportation. But it is a necessary way to get to places that I would otherwise never have been able to see.

I have been lucky enough to fly business class several times. That takes the pain out of a long trip.

But whenever I can, my preference is traveling by car!

As for what you say; A few months ago was my first flight . I was terrified but being up there I couldn't feel anything but excitement, you forget everything or at least that happened to me . I hope you enjoy all the trips you have yet to do 😊.

I do feel like I have seen much of the US although it is so vast that there are still many more places I would love to spend more time! And seeing Canada would require another lifetime! Our world is SO big!!

I have been doing car trips lately too. I like road trips. Seeing the country. Avoiding the chain restaurants. At different times in my life I've flown lots too. But car travel suits me better.

It's because of the brown signs! I try to avoid the 4 lane highways, but when I do need to drive on one, those brown signs give me an excuse to get off and find something interesting! You can't explore the brown sign sites when you are on a plane!

The ting that used to confuse me the most during covid was the planes that were still leaving the airport here in Edinburgh. We were locked down and told not to travel more than 2 km from the house, yet planes full of people were leaving the city each day - who and where were they going, and how did the rule not apply to them ! It still makes me wonder !

I'm more drawn to travelling by train because I find flying to be risky and frightening. When you travel by train with your family, it is both safer and more enjoyable.

I like train travel, but it is limiting since trains don't cross oceans! It's not a convenient way to travel where I live in the US. You have to drive some distance to get to the train depot and then the trains do not necessarily travel to the places you want to go and you would need to get as close as you can by train and then rent a car at the other end of your journey to complete your travels. It's good to have travel options!

Travelling is tiring. I don't enjoy it at all. It is not so bad if you are travelling with company.

Like you, whenever a see a plane passing, I always wonder who are the people in the plane, where are they going. 😊

Thinking about it, but I don't think I have never flown alone. Oh wait, yes I have! I flew from the US to Bonaire alone. My friends had gone down a week before and I went down to meet up with them to go scuba diving. But most of my travels have been in the company of others.

Hahaha, that first part got me laughing, I too wonder where they are off to, lolz. I'm sure they are having some appointments and unlike you, I guess some people are addicted to traveling with planes, hehe.

Well, I've never been in a plane once, I don't even know how it really looks like but thanks to movies, I will know one when I see one, haha.
