Without Struggles Success has no Values.....

What do you think about this statement. I read this quote somewhere, and personally I feel this statement is crap....Why is it people think that Success will only come if we struggle very hard for it and only then we can value it. Personally, I do believe that for Success you need to work hard, but then there is a difference between struggling and working hard with commitment, and any success can be valued, it's not necessary that only struggled success is valued, right?. These are what I call the conditioning which has been coming down to us from generations.

Success can also come by working hard and enjoying your work, doing it with joy. Just like here on Hive, Everyone who has been successful here, I want to ask, did you struggle or did you work hard and enjoyed every bit of your work, and do you value that? I definitely do put in my efforts but at the same time I enjoy my work, I do not struggle.

Statements like, You need to struggle to become rich, or you need to struggle to become successful are more like blocks and self-limiting beliefs. Times have changed, there are many opportunities, there are many ways where one can leverage. But, yes one needs to work hard and smart and not get carried away in emotions.

I had seen my father working very hard all his life, yes, I can say that he struggled also to get finances, but those times were different, opportunities were limited, exposure was minimal. Now it is easy to reach out in any corner of the world and tap on opportunities just sitting in the comfort of our own space. What can be a classic example then Hive.

It's time that we revisit our old belief systems. Some of the old generation quotes may not be valid anymore, or it can be valid for people who do not want to take actions in life and blame destiny for every set back and every failure. I believe that when we put these labels of Struggles, bad luck, destiny, then all the more we fall behind and things seem to be more difficult than what actually it is.

One needs to change this mindset, of only lucky people are successful and rich. These are self-limiting beliefs. We all have control our own life and by what actions we take we can write our own faith. In my Tarot readings, I have experienced this, that many times the answer comes up as minimal possibility of something to happen for someone, but I have seen those people moving forward with conviction and achieving those things. I never tell my clients that it is a complete NO, I always say that minimal possibility, but if you firmly believe in what you want, you can achieve it.

Success comes with right kind of nurturing, attitude and dedication, this is my mantra. The amount of energy and the type of energy we put into any action decides it's faith.

This was quite a meaningful read. I agree that the narrative can be changed in that you can enjoy what you are doing and still has success be valued. It is all in our own personal expectations and views on the world around us and what we define success as.

But I do agree with ph1102 in that it is sometimes through the hard times and the struggles that certain successes feels more meaningful.

You have read my mind, I was actually pondering if I should click and read the article as I do not believe that life is a struggle anymore.

Absolutely, I do respect whoever made these quotes, it were relevant for those times but not anymore. There is a lot of energy shift in the last 2 decades and while somethings are not going right but there are many new pathways also opened up so with that we also need to shift our mindsets and come out of those traditional belief systems.

I agree with you that struggle can't be the "measure" of success, but I do think that sometimes we do remember the hard times and because we pushed through, value things more... Yes, HIVE is a nice example of how you can do things that you like and love, and earn in the meantime, but even here we had uncertain times as a community, but also on a personal level...

But, again, it's not all about the struggle... If you struggle all the time, you should change your job and do something else... ;)

I would like to think of the effort gone in my task and take the sweet fruits of it in return in the form of success. I just feel that this word struggle gives a very negative energy

I don't totally disagree with you on this matter but I would love to say that struggling may not be the main measure of success just like you have said but if we look at this in another view, how many successful people today didn't struggle before getting to their success. Struggling doesn't totally mean you have to suffer and all sorts of things. Some people become millionaires at twenty, some forty, some sixty..... All these people have a story to tell. Some become rich in a blink of an eye while some have to go through hell. I must say it's not really easy to be successful, it's just that our paces are different. Some of us have to pass through some stages in order to understand how to keep our success booming while some just keep going successful without having any suffering experience but the truth of it is that a well experienced person tends to understand success more than a random successful person. Also, don't let us forget that some people inherit success from their parents who put them through a lot. They have faced a lot but they would never let their children suffer and that's why they build something special for their children. I remember my father being a successful man suddenly fell on the track. I didn't believe going to school was the only way to being successful but he was always telling me to be a doctor, this and that but I was never interested probably because I thought I could inherit some of his properties as the first son. Suddenly things changed, his business crashed and all sorts of things. Now I'm struggling to make a future for myself and my future family. I wouldn't want my children to pass through what I passed through. So if I become successful, won't I mention struggling and suffering in my success story?

I completely respect your conditions, but well I will like to put it in a little different way. You want to make a good future for yourself and your family from whatever you are now, and for that you need to set clear goals for yourself, a good action plan with timelines, evaluation of the action plan and a good amount of dedication, commitment and effort in following your action plan and on timely basis evaluating the progress of your action plan, which will make you understand if you are on the right track or not. If you will be well planned, you will find your action plan progressing well but if the planning is not very good then yes you will feel the pressure. Also one thing one must understand to set realistic goal with realistic timeline. Sometimes we want to achieve too much in very little time and then we push ourselves exponentially, if we fail then we feel frustrated and we think our hard work did not pay off, but the fact is that the goal was not realistic and the timeline was not realistic.
I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.

Oh woww.. so beautifully said. Without struggle, we cannot achieve anything in life, overall, we cannot succeed. Also, when we achieve success with struggle, still we have to continue struggling. We have to struggle till life and that too with happiness in the minds and hearts. because there is always something we have to deal with till life. so, we must never ignore struggles, panic them, and take them as a burden. instead, we must learn to deal with them calmly, strongly, and happily. because when we will look deep, we will find that if we take struggles easily and do not panic from them, we can easily overcome them, and succeed always! :):) nice post. thanks for sharing! :)
