Good afternoon friends, may God greatly bless each of you. To end the week, once again I share with you a passage from the sacred scriptures where we are told about discipline, the discipline that comes from God is a sign of divine love and concern. Just as a father corrects his child for his good, God corrects his children because he loves them and wants them to live wise and righteous lives. Accepting this correction with humility and gratitude can lead to significant spiritual and personal growth.

Do not despise, my son, the punishment of Jehovah, Nor be weary of his correction; For Jehovah punishes the one he loves, As a father punishes the son whom he loves.

Proverbs 3:11-12

"Do not despise, my son, the punishment of Jehovah, Nor be weary of his correction"

This verse warns against despising or underestimating the discipline that comes from God. The use of "my son" suggests a paternal and loving tone, indicating that the advice is given with care and concern.

-Do not belittle: This means do not take lightly or ignore divine correction. Underlines the importance of valuing discipline, understanding that it has a beneficial purpose.
-Jehovah's punishment: It refers to the correction that God imposes. In the biblical context, "punishment" does not always imply severe punishment, but rather a form of discipline that is intended to correct and guide.
-Don't get tired of his correction: This advises not to get discouraged or exhausted by the correction that God gives. Recognize that correction may be difficult to endure, but encourage acceptance and learning from it.

"For Jehovah punishes whom he loves, As a father punishes the son whom he loves"

This verse explains the reason behind divine correction, comparing it to the discipline that a loving father gives his child.

-For Jehovah punishes those he loves: Indicates that divine discipline is an expression of God's love. It is not an act of anger or malice, but a demonstration of care and concern for the person's well-being and spiritual growth.
-Like a father to his son whom he loves: Reiterates the analogy of the father-son relationship. A father disciplines his son not out of cruelty, but because he loves him and wants the best for him. In the same way, God corrects his children to guide them towards a just and full life.

How do we put this beautiful passage into practice?

Patience and Resilience: Learning to be resilient and patient in the midst of discipline, knowing that it has a higher purpose.

Buenas tardes amigos, que Dios les bendiga grandemente a cada uno de ustedes. Para terminar la semana una vez más les comparto un pasaje de las sagradas escrituras donde se nos habla de la disciplina, la disciplina que proviene de Dios es una señal de amor y preocupación divina. Al igual que un padre corrige a su hijo para su bien, Dios corrige a sus hijos porque los ama y quiere que vivan vidas sabias y justas. Aceptar esta corrección con humildad y gratitud puede conducir a un crecimiento espiritual y personal significativo.

Como ponemos en practica este hermoso pasaje?

Paciencia y Resiliencia: Aprender a ser resilientes y pacientes en medio de la disciplina, sabiendo que tiene un propósito más elevado.

Perspectiva Positiva: Ver la disciplina no como un castigo severo, sino como una oportunidad para aprender y mejorar.
