Hamster and Shark
In the distance of sea, among blue waves,
There lived Shark, the first beauty among fish.
She swam and dived, shone in the sun,
And whole district admired her shine.
Next to her lived little fluffy Hamster,
He was small, but bold and agile.
Hamster dreamed of swimming, diving and singing,
He dreamed of being powerful as Shark.

One day Hamster swam on plywood to Shark
And told her about his dream:
"Help me, Shark! Teach me how to swim,
And I will be your faithful companion!"
Shark smiled and waved her fin:
"I'll help you, fluffy Hamster!
You will be my student,
Together we can accomplish great things!"
And they started training.
Shark taught Hamster to swim and dive,
He boldly jumped into depths,
And swam next to Shark on equal footing.
So Shark and Hamster became friends,
They traveled oceans together.
Shark showed to Hamster whole world,
And Hamster answered with gratitude.
This fable about Hamster and Shark says,
That size doesn't matter,
If we are talking about swimming,
Not about anything else.
The original text was written by me in Russian. I haven't studied English systematically, so translation may not be ideal. The main work was done by Google Translate, I just corrected obvious absurdities, where I noticed them and where I did not confuse them with brilliant insights.
