Today I'm sharing my all time favourite Recipe of Energy Balls made of Sesame Seeds in Hindi it is pronounced as Til. These Energy balls are refered mainly as ladoos. These ladoos are made during the winter season. Seeds of Til are very beneficial for children as well as for elders. Both til and jaggery have a gentle warming effect, which is so much helpful in keeping away from any kind of cold.
This also provides energy to the body. In winter, we made many things with the same ingredients like til and jaggery but all provides different benefits when using them by different seasons & requirements. Some products including Chikki, Laddu and Gajak are the most commonly made using this. It also used to boost immunity during winters. Laddoos made from white or black seeds of til and jaggery should be consumed in cold. It is also very quick & easy method to make them, let's understand the complete process together.
Ingredients for making Laddoos:
An Iron Khadai (or pan)
2-2.5 cups white sesame
Jaggery up to one
Almonds - 2-5 tbsp
Ghee - 1-2 tsp
How to make Til Ladoos:
1. Clean the Khadai (or pan) thoroughly.
2. Keep that Khadai on a medium heat. As soon as the Khadai become hot, put til seeds on medium heat and fry them while stirring with a Wooden Spatula till they turn brown.
3. As soon as the til starts crackling and its color becomes golden brown then off the flame.
4. Keep the till seeds for cooling and grind them coarsely with the help of a mixer.
5. Once again heat the Khadai (or pan) on medium flame and put the pieces of jaggery on it, keep it until it melts fully.
6. After cooling down of the melted jaggery, add some crushed til seeds and put some teaspoon of desi ghee and mix it well.
7. Later on add some crushed cashew as well as almonds onto it.
8. The mixture for making ladoos now ready.
9. Take it out from the Khadai (or pan) on a plate.
10. Finally take the mixture little by little and make ladoos out of it.
11. Your Special Til ladoos are ready.
12. Leave it under open air for 5-6 hours. Then you can store them too for about 2-3 days or even for a week at Max, try now you will love it.
