When I was a little girl, like in every child, I awakened a creative streak inherited from the Creator, and it manifested itself in the desire to build something, to connect something, to enjoy the process and see the good fruits of my labor.
"Quite good"-sang my little heart and rang with laughter on my lips when I saw that my paper ship obediently floated on the puddles, and stayed on the water longer than I expected.
During the paper ship races we organized with my brother and sister, the world around us ceased to exist.
We were brave sailors, skillful stewards of our ships, we fearlessly overcame any obstacle and never quarreled in the same puddle. Our voyages did not end even on the saddest note, when we had to say goodbye forever to our favorite ship, which was the cause of great joy for little children.
At such moments, without thinking for a long time, we collected our rudder-stick and rushed home for a new sheet of paper.
I definitely won't forget to bring my notebook with me this time, we have a lot more traveling to do!!!! I've grown up, but we've never stopped sailing on the great sea of life.
Meet my captain's name is Love.
Without Him, my voyage turns into aimless wandering on the waves, incessant whirling in the eddies that are a total loss.
I like it when He wants me to remain a trusting child and not worry about anything, even if I think that thunder and lightning have torn the sky to pieces and all the stars, the moon and even the sun have drowned in the sea.
Everything will be all right, says my Captain.
And so I choose to believe and keep sailing.
These memories inspired me to create a new illustration that I hope will give you joy.
My story is accompanied by the author's illustration and you can see a few steps of its creation below.
