Communists Rock! - Three Tune Tuesday

in #hive-1503293 months ago

It's not often that commies pay homage to other commies, but when they do, they rock! Check out these tunes by North Korea and The PLA with a bonus palette cleanser tune!

First up is North Korea.

Killing In The Name Performed By The North Korean Military Chorus

Not to be outdone by their hermit little cousins, the PLA decided to one up them with one from the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson - Beat It (Red Army mashup)

Ok, enough of the commie crap, it's 2024 and time for some good ole', red blooded, synthwave!

Dana Jean Phoenix - Le Mirage

Thanks to @boxcarblue for introducing me to #TTT and @ablaze for dreaming it up.

Thanks for listening!

RATM interpreted by a North Korean military orchestra, now I've seen everything! They apparently also put a lot of effort into the stage show, complete with tanks and mushroom clouds. My favorite of course is the bassist lady. I wonder if her name is also Kim...

Ah so you were fooled too? When I first saw it I was pretty shocked because I thought it was real, but it's a very cleaver edit, a fake. Still, pretty amazing job. The NK definitely put on a show though.

Okay, now I'm even more impressed! I certainly enjoy being fooled like this. I suppose that's something we all will have to get used to, as these kinds of fakes will only get more elaborate.

The first two are gold!!!! I read fatty Kim recently executed someone because they were listening to pop music, freaking crazy.

ps ever heard of the genre synthwave but it turns out it's something that I always like listening to. Now I know what to search for on spotify. thanks

I was fooled by the first one. I thought the NK actually performed it, but no, it's just a nicely edited video.

I did hear about the execution too. Knowing lil Kim went to school in Europe, it's hard to believe he can be a psychopath like his father.

The genre is also called "Retrowave". I think retrowave has a bit more vocals and 80's pop sound to it. It's a fun genre to listen to as I grew up with those sounds in the 80's. Very nostalgic.
