This is a weekly post that I will make, every sunday until I get to my goal, as you can see the cover says 554 and thats the goal, a weekly post every sunday until the count down goes to cero, meaning its a 10 year goal, it wont be easy, lot of planing and its part of a habit that Im trying to develop, its not only about the Hive that potentially will generate. On this weekly post I will talk about everything that had happen to me during the week since this is the first one I would like to talk about my goals for this year on Hive, what do I have plan for the next week and other projects I might be working at a personal level.
How I got into Hive?
I got into crypto two years ago, one of my friends have been into crypto since 2018 and he is been doing great although I never had the capital to start building a portfolio until about two years that I started small. I recently was interested on the idea of a YouTube version that runs on top of blockchain and step into LBRY but after doing some research saw they were in some dispute with the SEC so kept looking and found Ecency, at first I thought Ecency was the platform but shortly found that it was Hive, I start to read posts first trying to figure out what people were posting about, I'm no stranger to blogging but never had a following only did it to have fun, write about the stuff I like, short story a few days did that same thing, open an account with the first name that came to my mind and start posting without knowing the rules or what I was going to post about, I remember I was talking with my wife about how annoying adds on YouTube are, she doesn't want to use Invidious so I thought "SkipTvAds" I said I will post about movies, TV shows, YouTube channels. Then I saw that other bloggers have a niche but also write about other stuff and I didn't want to limit myself so I decided to post about whatever interest me, I thought that would be more natural and I will share with others, I can tell many bloggers do share the irl stuff.
Recently I have learn a few of the basics about creating content, format, rules, engaging, whats good content, whats spam, the different communities from a few good post that I found looking around that I would like to mention and say thanks to the authors.

I remember reading one from @slobberchops of how he grew his account, I really appreciate all this great content they put out, I have bookmark them on the Ecency app so its easy for me to find.
Im constantly learning more about Hive and the different front ends, dapps and the rules of the communities, tokens, there is a lot to do but I dont want to complicate things.
Annual Crypto Goals
This year, actually this month I'm canceling my last debt, I only have left $2,400 and I will cancel it on the 28 of this month, I'm economically on a better position so I will be able to invest in crypto.
- No trading, I have seen my friend going crazy trading, not for me, I have bad temper problems.
- Reach 10k HP, I have seen the potential of growth from other accounts, but it takes to be there every day, hard work and time.
- Buy BTC as long as its under $35k, every 15 days, pay day.
- Buy ETH, VET, ADA, CRO, MANA everytime I buy BTC with BTC been 50% of the portfolio, everything else divided equally.
That is basically the investing plan, simple, no complications, I will be investing an amount every 15 days that I dont need to pay bills and wont need anytime soon. This wont be easy, I will be tempted either by things I may want to buy or sell when prices are high so I came up with a solution, have my keys backup on three far remote places and I will deposit directly to the different wallet addresses. I will probably start buying on March 30 as I finish paying for my debt need to spend some $$$ on another few things.
For this week I have a few topics in mind, some that I want to continue developing:
- DeGoogle, how to use less Google services and why its important
- Movies: Mindcage, Babylon, Predestination, Party House 2023, The Menu, Smile, Prey for the Devil, Hounded, The Visitor
- Tv Show: The Ark, The Chemistry of Death, You, The Last of Us, Poker Face, Mayor of Kingstown, Dahmer
- Health, I would like to share my exercise, physical and mental, with eating habits, exercise wont have effect unless you change eating habits as an adult.
- Sports: La Liga, Superbowl
This are just to mention a few ideas I have in mind, I will most likely slowly get this content out, I have no intention on doing all this in one week. There are other things I would like to write about and have try, have a few drafts but I find difficult to develop like writing about NBA games and WRC races, both are so long in terms of actions within the content that I cant resume it into a 2000 words max post, after that its like writing a book.
I also want to start making videos for my content, tutorials since I have a home lab that I made a post about it
https://ecency.com/hive-106817/@skiptvads/thinks-to-consider-before-building
I can make tutorials about the different services and applications I run locally, one of my other hobbies is racing games, Im still rocking a Logitech G27 set and thats enough for my casual gaming but havent been playing for the past 2 or 3 weeks since my ac broke and my office is a small room 8 x 10 feet so with all the monitors, the pc and my homelab rack next to the room it gets hot, I usually play Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa and recently setup the Nohessi mod but thats when the AC broke.
Now comes the sharing personal stuff, after covid I end up in some considerable dept and I was just rebuilding my life for the second time in 2019 and then covid lock down hit, during that time I started to suffer from anxiety, put on some weight, I'm only 1.70m tall and was 220 pounds, drink beer and to make worst I use to smoke. One day I saw a friend he is like 5 or 3 years older than me but looks like 10 years older than me, he was on the same destructive plan I just mention and was constantly complaining about his stomach and I stop for a minute and look at him and said "I dont want to be like that, I dont want to end up like him at his age" its my friend and everything but that was the truth. After covid lock down I vist a cousin and help him with some network things and computers at his place and he started to cook a very healthy meal, I was impress because he is fat as F, I was like wth why you fat if you eat like this, the answer beer, he told me he eats healthy to compensate because he drinks beer like a fish and he stays too much time at his desk at work so he doesnt excersise, I ask him what does he commonly eat and his answer was look up in Google "Documentary The Magic Pill", saw the documentary and the rest is part of the past, instantly change my diet to Keto, slowly of course, took me like a month to stop having sugar and beer cravings, went from 220 to 164 in three months, besides my eating habits I start running again, usually 3 times a week 7km each session.
After a while there were some food logistics problems and it was hard for my wife to get me vegetables, the ones she could find were either very expensive or not that good, supply and demand, so I put up a few pounds again, went up to 190, relax a bit on the beer and once again saw myself drinking beer on weekdays and skipping things I have to do. I'm the type of person who gets mad with myself when I screw up, sometimes I'm just too hard on myself and its because I care about things I want to accomplish so when I started on Hive I also started a few habits I want to build.
By the way Im over a year clean of smoke, not a single one.
- No drinking beer period
- Very low sugar intake
- Write content every single day and if possible have it in advance, plan my content
I have seen the potential of Hive based on older accounts growth and I want the same for me, I want to progress, I think this few habits I'm trying to achieve will help me to improve and move forward, I know it wont be easy, today I had beer craving so I put on my running shoes and hit the road, its 2:45 a.m Sunday and I'm writing this post to accomplish "show up every day" my goal is to grow my account for the next 10 years despite the amount of Hive I buy on the side the main reason is the Habit, the past two years I think have been the most productive years of my life and I recognize the power of good habits, besides writing content and improve my content, Hive also makes me stop and read which is another good habit, ingesting good old long type content is healthy for humans, now days everything is video, audio and short.
At the moment its been 21 days since I started on Hive, only skip one day, haven't stop exercising this year mainly running and working out at home and I'm 13 days without a single beer, I know after three months some of this things will become a routine and a bit easier.
I'm impress if you read the entire post, I will continue to share my thoughts and experience like this every Sunday, thanks for stopping by.
Since this is the first one I will post this three screenshots for prosperity.
