While a lot of us are already set out to start working on our goals, some are still on vacation or at the brink of the end of our vacation. We have freshened up our mind, body and soul for the tasky-journey ahead.

In all sincerity, the future is always filled with uncertainty. There will be challenging and difficult times as well as fun filled times. Bear in mind the saying, “tough times don’t last only tough people do”. Being tough is not just about the brawn and muscles. It’s more about the mind.

To brave this year, you would need to develop Mental Toughness. The Wikipedia defines Mental Toughness as "Having the natural or developed psychological edge that enables you to: generally, cope better than your opponents with the many demands.”

For me it is how strong your mind can stay positive when all odds are against you. Would you still continue? Would you allow that ill-luck break you? Would you still remain on the ground when you get hit so hard you don’t even seem to have a plan anymore?

Maybe you are expecting a MIND HACK or something terrestrial. Well, there are none for this. It is in this simple sentence- GUARD YOUR MIND.

It’s time to quit allowing the influx of junks into your mind. This kind of carelessness are capable of programming a kind of thought pattern that is unhealthy. Junks can be in form of unhealthy music, movies, discussion or articles. The internet now has its way of controlling people’s psyche unconsciously through these unhealthy contents. You need to be in control too.

How long can you keep controlling and guarding your mind from these unhealthy inflows? There’s need of commitment and consistency. You don’t loose your guard. Keep watch.

Don’t be so lenient on yourself most time. Our comfort zones always keep us weak and feeble. Go out and face the challenge.

Lastly, how confident are you in yourself? How much do you trust your judgement and persistency? Building self-confidence can go a lot way to help you never be despondent or depressed. Self-confidence comes from little actions or activities we think don’t matter. This include but not limited to talking to people, self-awareness, vulnerability, open-mindedness, humility.

Stay Guarded folks.

The mind is important at this point in time because January is always a crappy month for many people, but no matter how crappy it turns out to be, we all need to make effort towards making the best out of it.

The year has already started. That's what I know.

I take it that everyone already have a plan for the year. Hehe.
