Power Up January 2025 - Anybody Out There????

I guess I am not the only one.
I think it happens to all of us.
Or at least many of us.

We write but we don´t read. or not enough.

And trust me I know all the excuses because I use them myself, but making ten minutes each day to read some posts that stand out would be possible right?

If we all read one post more than we write each day the great content here would not be written in vain.

Visitors

I don´t know if it´s new or that I am late but the Ecency Mobile App has added the visitor's widget to the overview. Which makes it easy and horribly confronting.

Now I am trained to do Root Cause Analysis, and if I do an RCA on this we do not read phenomenon the answer is clear...

It´s staring you right in the face, and we all know it.

The incentive to write is bigger than the incentive to read.

We can automate our upvotes and therefore already obtain the incentive we otherwise would get from manual curation.

So why waste your time reading?

Great Content

How many minutes a day on average do you spend scrolling brainlessly?

Right....

Now some of that content might be cool, relaxing, funny, but most is braindead if you ask me.

Then again, if you would ask me I would say most people are braindead, so maybe it all makes perfect sense.

My 2024 Plan

My 2024 plan included me reading and commenting more. And I failed, I Epically Failed that part of the plan.

Yes I doubled my 3000HP to 6000HP or well 5500HP and 500H in that tank, to make my vote matter. But I did not read, yeah maybe 3 posts a week.

This year I am no longer worried about HP, my vote matters and those who read and comment get a 100% upvote from yours truly...and I mean on every post not just this one.

I am also thinking about writing a weekly post on cool content, not that it helps as nobody will read it but just to push the engagement a bit.

Incentives

Trust me incentives work, I see that very clear because the weekly series I post in LEO gets X views.

I post it on first on LEO later on BULB, and during the weekend on Pubish0X.

Lets look at the views will we:

I will just check the first two on BULB

And on HIVE:

&

Now this is not totally fair, because it only counts people who are logged in as a visitor and maybe there are other limitations as well.

But of the first I am sure because I have some frequent visitors that do not have an account but love to read my work....

Yes, there are actually people who love to read!

And yes, they actually like my work???

I can´t believe it myself but it´s true, I have seen it with my own eyes and based on their feedback they are not braindead.

Anyway, my point is that these other platforms give an incentive to read, while HIVE is kinda lacking that. Not that it should matter but it does make the difference.

Of course, I know, on those other platforms you can scroll down and hit the button for your incentive..... but the

This type of manual curation greatly enhances the chances of you stumbling upon and enjoying a good piece of content.

Put My Money Where My Mouth Is

I will try to put my money where my mouth is and read more.
I will also give a 100% upvote to every comment on any of my posts:

image.png

It will not make you filthy rich, but it´s more than I see in upvotes on some good content. That is why I like my vote to matter....a little at least.

And last but not least, I will start a weekly series highlñighting some good content I upvoted and whywhy.

Hope you enjoyed my rant now:

Show Me Tha Money

This year it´s not about money, it´s not about goals, it´s about making a change.

Because if you have been in the cryptoverse long enough this year we make money.

Still, I would like to reach that 6K HP in Q1 of 2025. Hence I am back to trying to rake in 150HP a month.

I started with 5500HP on Jan first so on Feb first I want to see 5650HP.

Easy peasy that just took a 25HP upvote, no worries 25 in 2025 sounds fitting now I am gonna sit back and enjoy the 2025 crypto ride....we all will be millionaires in 2026.

Or at least I will!

Don´t get me wrong but I will be getting myself into that millionaire mindset in 2025. Nobody else will do it for you.

On that note I have one call out and it´s
untitled.gif

I can have my virtual mouth full of reading and commenting, but there is this guy....I would not believe it if I had not seen it with my own eyes, but he reads and comments every workday.

Maybe not as much on weekends, but he also makes time for the misses. @Bozz I am seriously impressed and well you know that we talked about it a couple of times.

I am gonna try to get into that same friendly hive neighbour attitude and drop by frequently to have a read and leave a chat.

Next month I will let you know how I am doing, if I can make reading yuge again.

Anyway Happy POWER UP DAY Y´ALL

Sort:

I made reading and interacting on Hive a habit because I know my growth on the platform is strictly bounded to the personal connections I make by talking to each other. Also, I hate leaving useless comments, but it's a proof of having read the post so I'm glad to do it anyway.
What is strange to see on your Hive posts is: how can your post have only 4 readers but 116 upvotes? There's something off with the numbers here...

The upvotes often come from bots or curation groups, whatever they are called that give upvotes based on rank and HP rather than reading and quality that is why I think manual curation is giving more incentives because now you can delegate your upvote to obtain the incentive.

Hope I sort of explain it well, but thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment !PIMP
