FungiFriday: Small Cluster of Wild Mushrooms in the Mon Tujoh Woods

in #hive-1513277 days ago

Several times I walked around the Mon Tujoh woods, Lhokseumawe, Aceh; I frequently found a lot of mushrooms there. I feel lucky to live in a tropical area; just waiting for heavy rain to come, and two days later I just combed the woods to find beautiful mushrooms there.

I found this mushroom in mid-January in the Mon Tujoh woods. The mushrooms grew in small clusters on coconut shell screens. I noticed fewer coconut trees growing than candlenut trees. Some coconuts fell to the ground because they were gnawed by squirrels and rotted over time.

What kind of mushroom is that? I have no idea. Could it be Mycena? I can only guess that's it. The cap is white with a light brown edge. There is a small funnel on the cap's surface. The stem is reddish brown, with dense gills. For more details, let's look at the following pictures.
