This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw
As usual, today is Friday 8 December 2023, the day when mushroom hunters & lovers in various parts of the world display their collections of mushroom finds. Likewise, I have also prepared two types of mushrooms that I found a few days ago.
The first mushroom I want to share is the genus Coprinellus. Coprinellus is a genus of mushroom-forming fungi in the family Psathyrellaceae. Mushrooms in the genus Coprinellus are commonly known as "fairy bonnets", because the shape of this mushroom umbrella itself is like bonnet (headgear).
I found this mushroom growing on rotten twig of a cocoa plant, and interestingly this mushroom grows in threes at the same time & deserves to be called the three brothers mushroom :)
Then the second mushroom is a beautiful mushroom that is still in its early stages of growth. It was difficult for me to identify this mushroom, but because it has a beautiful appearance I finally decided to photograph it and share it here today. If the mushroom above is like bonnets (headgear), this mushroom also has almost the same umbrella shape, or to be precise like a farmer's bonnets (headgear).
