This is my entry for #FungiFriday initiated by @ewkaw
That day I decided to go back to my late grandfather's house, just wanted to do a small mushroom hunt there on the Snake fruit plantation (I should have photographed the fruit and the area). Now there are only two families living there, my oldest, and my youngest uncle, from my father's four male siblings.
I already forgot when was the last time I visited the plantation, it was located in the back of the house compound actually, just like most of the old houses in my village. I think it was like when I was in my Senior high school, I visited the plantation because I was not living there anymore.
I had a high hope that I would get so many mushrooms there because it was quite humid, and with so many trees, leaves, branches,a nd all of the organic matter in the ground I thought that I will get a big harvest that day.
My guess was right, as you will see in the photos in this post. I found so many mushrooms in the area.
The first one that I picked up is this old mangosteen that seemed to fall down during its season and was left there in the area. The mushrooms are so small, and also a little bit translucent. I really love the shape as well, however, due to lack of magnification on my macro set up, I could not show it well here in the photos.
Next, I have this hard mushroom that was growing on an old tree branch. I also love the color of this mushroom, with a slight yellow-orange color in it. the beauty of the destruction.
Another species, this one of the tip of another old tree branch that was falling down and left of the ground.
Then I have another interesting mushroom that resembles the pattern of the coral on the ocean floor. Maybe it is actually a coral reef that is magically jumped out of the water, and traveled far inland to live on my family's snake fruit plantation. hahaha
And then the last species that i have is this tiny tiny mushroom that was growing on another tree branch. It is not white mold that grows on the edge of the tree branch, but the one in the middle of it. I hope you can see it.
Then I hurried back into the house compound and left the plantation, I could not bear the mosquito attack anymore. Yes, the mosquito is the enemy when you enter the plantation, also I was wearing a very wrong outfit back then, with a sports-short, a shot, and a sandal without much protection, so that they can smell my blood so far and wide and decided to get a taste on my blood. Got to have a better preparation next time, and I wish I can have more harves on my next mushroom hunt.
