It's so cool to be able to see something I got to know from other users posts, but I never found it myself. It's like all the things you read finally make sense and come back to you...

Amanita citrina
Please do not quote me on this one. I am still not very confident identifying mushrooms and if I got this one right, correct me. I will not bite :)
But if it is Amanita citrina then you should know it contains toxins and should not be consumed. As any mushrooms that you don't know anyway.
I found it in a mostly pine forest, though there were some growing in parts of the woods with more leafy trees.
They can get quite large and some of the hats were reaching 12 cm across. Fully white with some slightly darker spots are easy to spot in the dark forest.
And just look at that skirt :)
And now the things I mentioned at the beginning of the post. No it's not the name. This one I asked google for.
But its the way the mushrooms grow. They were creating a huge ring! I couldn't catch it all as they were growing on the hill and the other part of it was invisible. The ring was few metres across with some larger, shroomless parts, but the circle shape was pretty visible.
I have never noticed that before, but of course it's because I didn't pay attention to it. I just saw many mushrooms and that's it. Also not all fungi grow like that.

On that trip I was walking around with my teenage nephew and he was pretty impressed with the ring and it was the first time he heard about such thing. He is pretty good mushroom picker though :)

Of course I had to check how AI will see "Amanita citrina" - yes, that's all I put there. And just look at that!! The single prompt gives me 4 images and I couldn't pick just one.
This first one is just so cool. I have no idea what it has to do with white mushrooms I guess it understood the "citrina" in a completely different way.
This one is cool too - a whole kingdom.
