There are weeks with so much stuff to do that I lose track for a bit of what day it is. And I would live in this bliss if it wasn't for Gina spamming me with the notifications with the challenge posts since early morning today. I would probably miss #FungiFriday too :p
Shit happens :)
But no... she (of all of you here) will not let me forget it :D
Here is one of the most photogenic local mushrooms I found in the park. Those little Ink Caps are relatively easy to find as they are pretty tall and tend to grow in open spaces or on lawns that are trimmed. Then they are taller than the perfect grass too.
Shot with one of the manual lenses to get the nice bokeh and dreamy effect as if we entered some fairy land.
The challenging part starts when you run out of the tall and easy mushrooms to shoot and all you see around is this lovely, green mess (full of bugs, spiders and creepy crawlies that just wait to bite your legs off):
Here is one :)
Bonus #drystuff shot - Cistus seed pod that survived the winter season. The pods turn to this intense, old brick colour during the hot summer months. Looks cool when there is hundreds of them like that on a bush.
....And we are done.
How to join #FungiFriday:
- when Friday comes (UTC time) post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, I will check and report stolen images or text!)
- add #FungiFriday tag (it doesn't have to be your first tag)
- Include "My contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw" anywhere in your post.
Bonus:
Among all the correct entries I will pick the best, most interesting, most creative posts. Those will be included in the challenge Summary Post published during the weekend.
100% of the Summary Post payout will be split between the featured users.
To participate in this part, the post has to be published from the FungiFriday Community.
