🍄📸 Fungifriday today I found a white mushroom like a chip that I found behind my house. This mushroom that I found was growing on the trunk of a bamboo shoot tree when this mushroom immediately amazed me when I first saw it, its pure white colour made this mushroom look very soft and graceful.
The mushroom, whose scientific name is Pleurocybella porrigens, thrives in areas that do not get direct sunlight and also humid air. The mushroom has a shape like an oyster shell and a slightly curved tip with a smooth surface like gills extending to the stalk.
This mushroom is also widely cultivated for the needs of cooking ingredients because this type of mushroom is non-toxic. This mushroom has a soft and chewy texture but this mushroom can harden with age. This mushroom is also very beneficial for the environment because some species of this mushroom can absorb waste oil or pesticides.
Pleurocybella porrigens is a species of fungus in the family Phyllotopsidaceae. The species is widespread in temperate forests of the northern hemisphere. P. porrigens, known..Wikipedia
In this post I took some photos to share on fungifriday day so that other friends can also see and get to know the Pleurocybella porrigens mushroom through my camera lens.
