Hello friends,
Happy #FungiFriday to all of you.
Coprinus comatus is one of the most prevalent autumn mushrooms. Most of these mushrooms can be found near the pond and the border of the surrounding forest. For years, it has appeared in the same spots and enormous numbers in the spring and autumn. In a tiny area, it is sometimes possible to view all stages of development of these mushrooms. From the moment they emerge from the sandy earth until they disintegrate into black ink.
Flammulina velutipes grow from late fall to nearly the end of winter. It thrives on stumps and rotting deciduous trees such as birch and elm.
The oyster mushroom is another common autumn/winter mushroom. It is most commonly found on poplar and willow stumps and trees. It grows in clusters and, aside from champignons, is the most frequent type of mushroom in the diet.
