FungiFriday - walnut stump covered with shrooms

in #hive-151327last year

Hello friends,

Happy #FungiFriday to all of you.

I haven't posted anything about mushrooms in a long time, because I haven't used my old camera in months. I missed the newly grown mushrooms so many times because I didn't have my camera with me.

But in my yard I know where there are mushrooms all year round. After I cut off a large walnut, I deliberately left the stump to be decomposed by the mushrooms. During the second year, the first mushrooms appeared on the stump, and from the next year they began to appear around it as well. I was interested in how long the once magnificent walnut with a large crown will completely decompose. Currently, it is the sixth year since only the stump remains, which is almost completely covered by two types of mushrooms.

It's a nice piece of nature on its own now.

Why did you have to cut the tree down?

It made a shade where it shouldn't. I'm still regretting it, but I have to do it.

Pity. We have three walnut trees. They are huge, but also very beautiful.

I planted two trees a few years ago, but at different corner of the yard. Now I'll just have to wait 20+ years :)

It is incredible to see these two varieties of mushrooms coexist harmoniously on a single trunk dear friend @oks2crypto
What beautiful varieties of mushrooms, each with its own shapes and texture.
Thank you very much for sharing these beautiful photographs.
enjoy the weekend
