Okay, nobody should judge me but I have always said that I know my future husband is in Europe and maybe, just maybe Germany to be precise. If you ask me how I know that I will rather give about 100 reasons why I don’t know.
I woke up one day and I felt like if I’m going to marry someone from Europe, then I should learn one of the languages. I mean I knew I wanted to learn German so bad but I wanted to try other languages too later.
I downloaded the DWLearnGerman app and started from the very basics of the basics. Honestly it was fun. I talk to my friends in German and the reaction on their faces arealways priceless because they have no idea what I’m talking about. Anyway, so why is that my favourite app? I think it’s obvious but the number one thing I like about this app which made me stick to this is the placement test. The placement test just lets you know how good or bad your German is and then chooses the course that you need to improve on your German.
There’s a place for vocabulary and grammar overview which helps you to easily learn how to conjugate verbs and learn the pronunciation of certain words without going through the whole study guide. I also like how the set up is in stories and that way you get to learn easily. You know the magic behind learning with stories. The story is about how this man traveled from Spain to German with zero knowledge in German Language and is trying find his aunt. Which I think fits my situation because I’m also trying to find my husband right?
Also, the app saves your progress whiles you move which I think is good because you wouldn’t have to come back and now be looking for where you reached. Have I already said there’s sound? Yeah, it feels like you’re in a classroom with teacher because there are parts where the teacher pronounces something and then you say it back. It’s actually fun though. Along the line, I downloaded the Polish for Beginners app. Ladies and Gentlemen, I won’t even lie to you but Polish is so difficult. I opened that app for 7 days and never went back.
The words are difficult to pronounce and understand unlike German. At this point, if I end up with a polish man unless he learns English or we both learn sign language(don’t laugh). Funny how even though the DW Learn German app is my favourite app, I still don’t abuse it. All in all, I like the results I’m getting from the app because at first I felt like learning the language was impossible but here I am, flexing the German language on my friends.
Maybe I’ll move on to Spanish after German but I’m really happy about this app. It does the work perfectly and I’m happy about my knowledge in German language at the moment. You should try this app if you want to learn German too. Tschüss Jeder!
