Any time I remember this particular thing I’m about to say, I laugh because who would have thought I would ever touch the Stocks app on my phone. Some years ago, I didn’t even understand what the stocks app was for. I knew the literal meaning of stocks but never thought the app would be useful to me in any way.
Years later, my friend introduced me to BTC and I was only using Binance to track everything and then he asked me why not track my stocks on Stocks. I laughed it off not because I understood what he said. I thought he was making a joke, honestly. Recently, when I was uninstalling my unused apps, I came across stocks, a pre-installed app on iOS for checking the stock market. To be very honest, I hissed before opening the app and then was in a hurry to close and remove it.
And then something caught my attention; Business news. I opened it wondering why there’s even business news on this stocks app and I was surprised. There were news about all kinds of stocks and shares. Let me explain. Stocks app features news from very reliable sources about a number of stocks and shares to save you the trouble of having to go on the internet looking for the latest news about that stock. Whatever top stories or trending news happening, they give it to you right under the stock. How cool is that?
There’s news for Nike, Starbucks and other stocks. That was the first thing that impressed me and made me go around exploring the app. And of course, I had to search up to see if hive was there. I didn’t just see hive, there was saw hbd too. At this point I was already smiling. I moved to the graph part just to be sure I could use the app just like Binance to read the market and I was even more glad that it wasn’t so complicated. They show you exactly as it is.
Knowing how rigid some of these app can be, I tried manipulating a few things and then I saw I could actually arrange the stocks according to however I wanted it to be. From price change, percentage change, market cap and others. Do I even understand what they are? No. But am I excited? Yeah!
I think the nicest thing about the app is how the stocks flow horizontally on top of the app. I know it might sound funny but I get excited when I see things in motion. I like how the app isn’t complicated yet has everything you need to know about stocks. I’m glad I finally get to check on my stocks using Stocks, hehe.
