From The Onset Till Now.

I grew up watching my brother work with his laptop at home. We didn't have so much technology back then, I think I was only familiar with the black and white Tv we had. When my brother got into Uni, he got a laptop shortly and that was how it all began. I was fascinated about everything he does on his laptop even as much as hearing the keypad sounds when he types. I remember he was doing web development then and I would have hover around him each time he's working. I was always inquisitive, "what is this, what is that". Most times, he'll tell me to go and play because I was always distracting him. He had a lot of textbooks he was using then about quite a few programming languages. I loved to read them, I was barely 10, I didn't understand a single thing I was reading but I never stopped taking his books. It wasn't long and I started to pester him to teach me how he types so well. I would like to use only one finger to click on everything and he'll get fed up with telling me that isn't how it's done.

After a while, he downloaded Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. It was specifically an educational tool but I was just having fun with it. I loved the games more than anything, I clearly remember how I will fight over whose turn it was to play. On our not so fortunate days, my brother will angrily come and take his laptop because no of us would let the other person play. I would cry so much and keep blaming my sisters. Mavis Beacon was not just a game to me, every level was a whole new adventure. My happiest moments will always be getting the high scores at the end of the game and knowing my speed and accuracy improved significantly.

As I grew older, more tech devices came to surface. I didn't get an android phone of my own but my mom's own was always at my reach. I started to explore and to try out new things I haven't seen before. I amazed at how something so small could do a lot of things. Fast forward to high school, computer science was one of the courses I took and I had the opportunity to get more theory and practical knowledge of how the Tech world works. A lot has changed since then, everyday we keep having new wonders of how much change has come in place because of the advancement of technology.

I discovered mobile app development months ago as I continued my journey. The thought that I can create some useful that people could actually benefit from was really appealing. The moment I got a chance, I applied for the course and I started learning. This was nothing like the Mavis Beacon I used to know. It is a whole new phase of learning to do. I knew about bugs but now I know what it feels like getting them when you're working on a project. Writing clear codes and implementing the knowledge of the programming languages I'm being taught is something I want to keep practicing. The journey never ends, in fact this might only be the beginning and I'm really excited about the the future will bring. I believe that I'll be able to look back one day and remember how far I've come and how much of my goals I've been able to accomplish, till then I'm still on for the fast ride of Technology.

Growing up, whenever I see people working on laptop, one of the things I always think it was is the fact that it is yahoo

😂
That is the Naija default thinking
