As a human being, it’s almost impossible to live your life without complaining about certain things. It’s only natural that things would not always go our way and sometimes we can control ourselves from whining about these things while other times we just can’t help but rant and get angry at these things.
We all have our pet peeves. We have things that annoy or that irritate us, they sort of hit a nerve every single time. We just can’t stop complaining about these things but it’s pointless complaining because you basically do not have control over them.
The Most Annoying Digital Pet Peeve I Have
I have so many digital pet peeves but I would be talking about a few of them.

The first on my list is typing in short hand and excessive grammatical errors. This is 2024 for crying out loud people and not 2013 or 2014 where you have to show off your shorthand prowess while chatting on 2go or Facebook. This is 2024 and chatting in shorthand is annoying and not cool in any way!
How do you still tell people Hapi Bday? Or ow wz ur day? How?? does this even look nice or cool to you? Does it?
I find this typing style so annoying and if I am chatting with such a person I get completely weary of the chat before we even have a decent conversation, because how do I start decoding your messages?!
There are people who find this writing style pretty cool and I commend them, cause it can never be me, Never! And no offense to people who belong to this category though.
Then there are excessive grammatical errors. Technology is on a quest to make man’s life as easy as it can ever be and as such we are being blessed with auto-correct and different spell-checking tools to help fix our errors but yet people still decide not to use any of these tools, or bother to take the time to proofread whatever they are about to send.
I hate trying to read an article that looks interesting but is filled with so many errors. This can be a major turn-off for me.
I know as humans it can be pretty difficult to eliminate all errors especially when the language isn’t your first language but then again people should try their best because when your errors become one too many it becomes a problem as you end up losing so many of your readers.
Drafting my post isn’t a problem but you see editing and proofreading it? That takes a lot of my time because I wish to be thorough, I know I cannot eliminate all the mistakes in my post but trust me I put in so much effort to make sure my post doesn’t annoy my readers by having so many errors. I understand that we all can’t be meticulous about these things but it would be nice to put in the work😃
Sharing wrong information online. This is one thing that annoys me.
I have a problem with people who spread wrong information on the internet all in the name of drawing traffic to their site.
Like how do I come online and see news of my favorite celebrity being dead? Now you don’t just startle me, you make me all emotional and then you literally make me a self-acclaimed FBI all in the name of seeking for proof on the internet to prove that my fav isn’t dead, and after carrying out my investigation I finally find out that you posted the wrong information?! That’s very annoying and crazy!!! You need to be arrested for spreading wrong information, only to pull traffic to your site, it shows how unprofessional you are, and you need to be jailed!
Mobile unfriendliness is another digital pet peeve. It’s annoying when you try to visit a site but the site isn’t mobile-friendly. Why do I need to have a particular type of phone or only access your site with my laptop? What if I don’t have access to my laptop or any other phone, does that mean I wouldn’t be able to do whatever brought me to your site? Such experiences piss me off and make me frustrated and I hate it when I am frustrated and helpless as it isn’t a good feeling at all.
These and many more are my digital pet peeves which will forever annoy me.
