TIME REVAMP

in #hive-1516625 days ago

Time is something of essence and value, 50 years from now a whole lot of things would have changed, a lot of the things we do today would have become old school, and all we will be left with are the memories of the beautiful time we have now. While there will be things that would have gotten better in the future, there would be things in the past (our time now) that when we look back would see that the future is missing a lot. Even as of now, there are already things that I think the Jen Z's of today will never understand. There are experiences that they will never get. I saw a little girl in my compound admiring a dress her dad bought for her the other day, and I commented that she looks like Cinderella in that dress. I was surprised when she asked me who is Cinderella?… I expected her to know because she watches cartoons a lot.

Out of curiosity I asked the kind of cartoons she watches and she mentioned PJ masks and then I knew that indeed I am old. If I'm to create a time capsule, it will first be to REVAMP the situation of things in the future and give them a head start of how interesting things were in our time. The first thing I will be revamping will be Music. I still think the music sense of the upcoming generation is wack and it might even get worse. I will put up songs from authors like Adele, and Celine Deon alongside lots of old school blues and true love songs, even heartbreak songs that when you listen to can take you to places you never imagined. I find most of the songs released in the late 90s and early 2000s more interesting than now. The only thing I know that grew out of the early 2000s was Afrobeats which is now becoming wack too… I mean compared to before.

Even though I am usually on social media, it's usually for business purposes, and I don't think I would be changing a lot from there except the short clips from really intriguing and interesting movies. I'm talking about Movies like The Lion King, Avatar and Naruto. These were childhood series that we experienced as kids and a lot of the ones I've witnessed so far do not come close in any way to the cartoon series I just mentioned. I know there will be improvements in the movie industry of the future, but I will wish they (in the future) understand the origin of most of the things they will be watching.

Yes, this is true but you can't take away the hard work and creativeness in these current artists

Yeah I don't dispute that fact, artist in our time lacked that creativity, but I wish their creativity can have the same amount of value it had in the past, then the world will be up for a real banga.

Are you serious? I don’t think she watches enough cartoons because who doesn’t know Cinderella? Even my 3 year old niece does.

I discovered tey don't show it again the way t was televised in our time. Except for those whoes parents uses netflix

That's a nice concept, sharing what was interesting in our time with the future gen. I know how naive you might feel knowing PJ mask. Even having two children, I am sometimes clueless about their language and everyday things. I'm sure the future gen will wonder about our current life.
