Before resigning from my job in late 2020, I had made plans on what to do in order not to stay ideal. However, things didn't go as I had planned. Feeling unfulfilled, I started searching for what to do to keep me busy and also make money.
I went online and did my research, and after everything, I discovered how lucrative the tech world is.
Before now, my friend had told me how her brother-in-law was earning income in six figures working remotely as a software engineer.
Inspired by his success story, I decided to take an adventure into the world of tech and coding.
Lucky for me, I have this guy in my contacts that is always posting about tech-related stuff. I spoke to him about it, and he told me about a tech organization that was giving free scholarships to some Africans who were interested in anything technology.
That was how I registered, and lucky for me, I was shortlisted amongst those who were offered admission.
That was where my journey of migraine headache started. To cut the long story short, I quit after two weeks since running mad wasn't part of the plan.
My search came to an end when I discovered the beauty in graphic design. I started learning it but stopped at some point. This is one digital skill I wish I had; I would love to learn it.
There are some graphics I see, and I can't help but wonder how some of these graphic designers unleashed their imagination and brought such ideas to life.
Graphics design has a way of communicating with you virtually; they convey a message effectively.
Another reason why I wish I had this digital skill is because organizations are looking for a good and professional graphics designer that would design for their social media platforms and also for advertising and marketing products. This here would open one up to doors of endless opportunities.
I feel graphic design would open one to a world of imaginative and creative expression and also professional growth.
