Greetings, my dear coffee lovers. I hope you are well, healthy and enjoying every opportunity that life gives us and if you are flavoring it with a delicious coffee, so much the better.
Today, I am back in the community to celebrate, together with you, the International Coffee Day, which was last October 1st, but we can celebrate it every day, since it is our faithful companion, our energizer, our confidant, the essential in the best conversations and in the deepest reflections.
I was excited to read about the contest to which our beloved coffee community invites us, under the sponsorship of @OCD and, I was inspired to write my entry.
I went with option 1 which tells us the following:
"Show us three personal photos that represent the ways in which coffee impacts and inspires you. With each photo, write a short postcard-style note to someone you've bonded with over coffee, then tell us a little about them if you'd like!!
Since I started drinking coffee, I have bonded with many people who, like me, love and enjoy it. This pleasure has united me with many important people in my life, with whom I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
I treasure unforgettable moments, drinking coffee, with my mother, with my siblings, with my friends, with my husband, and now with my daughter. With her, I enjoy them and take advantage of them frequently, she is my companion in social gatherings, she is the one who contains me in my gray days with a cup of this elixir for the soul and she is my guide in the discovery of beautiful coffee shops, where having a cup of coffee is a wonderful experience.
For my participation, I was inspired by three photographs from my gallery that made me connect, without much thought, with what I share with you here.
But, before I go to the grain, I want to invite those of you who read me to join the contest and share your participation, there is still time left.
This first picture is a token of gratitude for my husband, it is one of the ways I thank him for all his love and everything he does for me. He loves the café con leche that I prepare and whenever he asks me for it, I take great care to make it delicious and frothy. I make it with lactose-free milk and add a touch of cinnamon to enhance the flavor and presentation, I love the way it looks!
For him, this postcard:
My love
Thank you for making my morning coffee all these years, more than thirty. It makes me so happy to share with you, every day, that one and the ones we have together when we go on adventures. I love having coffee with you, while we talk and you make me laugh with your witticisms.
I would give everything for those moments to be infinite.
Yours forever❤️
This second picture reminded me of one of my sisters. We have been away for a year and a half, we talk every day by video call, but it is not the same. With her, I shared many moments of coffee, moments of laughter, tears, confidences. We always accompanied our conversations with a good cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Just like that, just like in the picture.
That memory inspired me to make this postcard for her:
Dear Sister
I am fine. Here in Bogota it is great weather, special for coffee and conversation. I wish you were here to share with you, as we did at my house or yours, and talk for hours. We have so much to tell each other, especially about what we have lived this year, far away, although not absent. But to have you close and to be able to hug you would be a dream come true.
I love you and miss you so much.
I dedicate this last photo to a special person: myself. Throughout many years, coffee has been my faithful companion, and between each sip of coffee deep bonds have been woven. How many things remained and remain between each sip of my coffee, my mind and my heart? How many moments of silence have been impregnated by the aroma of a steaming cup? How many doubts, fears and tears have been shared, only with a few cups of coffee?
Then, how not to dedicate a postcard to me.

Continue to embrace life with the same inner strength that has always characterized you, even when you don't know where you get it from. You have proven to be a compassionate woman, kind at all times, supportive and full of love to give away, hand over fist. Don't let anything discourage you, because rest assured that all will be well. Keep appreciating each day and walking this path, without carrying more than necessary, living one day at a time. Keep looking for happiness, for life is a little while, so always keep a smile on your face and enjoy every sip of coffee.
With all my love, Aurodivys.
