A blissful Sunday, beautiful souls and to all my coffee lover friends!
You know, it seems okay seeing that I can't monitor days or where I am on my endless to-do-list. Coffee saves the day. I really do not wish nor intend to adult today. I mean, I will, but, I don't want to. Lol. Hopefully, the coffee on my hand kicks in soon so I can brain and do all the things that require some intelligence and wittiness sor of. I'm not feeling it today though, I woke up with the dumbs dumbs dumbs dumbs. I mean, I still have some coffee road trip hangovers from yesterday with my friends.
Yesterday, Saturday here in the Philippines, I got a call from my friends in Baguio City (mountain area) that they're coming down here in La Union (lowlands) where I live. @leeart is one of them. We have been friends for over a decade and belong to the same circle of friends. So yeah, They wanted to do some snorkeling at one of the rocky islands far north from my town, drink some good coffee and simply just unwind for the long weekend. So they invited me from that moment on. Speaking of coffee, I would not say no to that invitation. Woot woot, here I come. My daughter was more excited than me though. So, they arrived here before noon. They picked us up and headed straight to Amigo Cafe And View Deck.
I actually saw this cafe posted on Facebook and I told my friends a couple of weeks ago to come and visit it and invite me lol. Situated in Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union, we needed to travel a rustic back road and took us less than an hour from our house to get there. As soon as the car was parked, we began hearing birds and crickets singing. The breeze invited our presence and the nature around it just took my breath away. I mean, I was literally in awe.
The stunning view of the Amigo Cafe is said to be one of the most valued destinations of Bacnotan, La Union. It is a cliffside site offering an unhampered perspective of the town and mountain range at the background. Just pure bliss. The design of the cafe was created by the owner's wife who is an architect - A Bali-inspired cafe. Just in time when we got there in spite of the fact that we were hungry. But first, coffee.
They Offer:
Coffee Blends (Americano, Cappuccino, Caramel Latte, Cafe Mocha)
Coffee blend frappes (Cappuccino, Caramel Latte, Macchiato, Cafe Mocha)
Chocolate blend frappes (Cookies and Cream, Dark Forest, Double Dutch)
Fruit blend frappes (Strawberry Pink, Choco Locco, Avocado Graham)
Milk Tea (Wintermelon, Creamy Taro, Macha Green Tea, Cheesecake Overload)
They likewise serve hotcakes, pasta, sandwiches, chips, smoothies and treats.
I ordered freshly brewed and one friend had latte. You know, coffee draws out the fire and inspiration in you. Ahhh, that awesome inclination! While hanging tight for our breakfast which is tapsilog (beef, fried rice and sunny side up), calamares, boiled mixed veggies with fish sauce and shrimp paste and my daughter ordered a corn dog. I wandered around taking more pictures. I so love the tree house which is an eye-level to the mountains covered by scattered bright clouds. The Mayana plants planted around the place is simply exquisite and everything else is just wonderful. At the point when our meal was about to be served, we chose to eat at one of the nipa tents. Sweet.
In the event that you end up having an unexpected hankering for a cup of coffee with friends, this is a captivating and reviving place saturated with delicious blends of espresso, hot cocoa, and the never-gets-old milk tea. I swear, you'll love it here. I did with my small circle of friends.
Cheers!!!
