Greetings appreciated Cinnamon Cup Coffee community! I welcome you once again to this post dedicated of course to our favorite drink: coffee! You see friends, certainly drinking coffee is an experience but under circumstances and moments that only destiny can intertwine, the experience transcends to memories and feelings that we will treasure with great affection and this is the case of this review, so join me to discover it!

image.png

This story begins in one of the most central parts of the City of Caracas: Plaza Venezuela where we visited one of the largest Super Markets I have ever seen before, but the reason for coming here is that my mother was about to have a birthday! So we went to buy the different things to celebrate her day.

image.png

It may seem like just another everyday event, but as I said before, we live in Caracas, Venezuela and we come from such a severe political and economic situation and from which we suffer so much, that I have learned to appreciate these brief and simple moments with my mother. We have strengthened these ties every time we go out to buy coffee for the house and precisely that day we found an exceptional jewel that we were looking for.

Paramo Café Mestizo: Our precious one!

When we had already bought all the things for my mother's birthday and just when we were leaving the place, by chance we found the last package of Páramo Mestizo coffee! I spent months looking for this presentation of coffee to the point that I was like Gollum looking for his precious one! 😂

photo_2024-09-16_15-59-36.jpg

On the contrary, my mother had her doubts about this coffee, she likes strong coffee in the mornings and that word "light" on the package did not please her. But there was a good reason to try it, this was the latest release of this coffee brand, one of which I had already reviewed: El paramo café Catatumbo, I leave you the link to that post in the image below.

image.png

This would be the second review of this coffee release and we're only missing the Paramo Café Azabache, which if we're lucky we'll review soon. For now, and to be honest with you, this is a gourmet coffee that is certainly expensive, $6 for 340 grams. Let's see if it's worth it.

image.png

Well, the first thing I want to share with you is the presentation of the packaging, which has a truly elaborate finish, and since in the previous post you had told me that the packaging was very pretty, I decided to share these screenshots of the Mestizo presentation.

In the previous post I had talked about all the historical heritage that this coffee brand aims to evoke. Briefly, this brand seeks to revive the glory of our country as a coffee powerhouse of the continent when we were an agricultural colony. Its name, Mestizo, refers to the mixture of races that existed in the colony: Caucasian, African and Indigenous, since this coffee is basically a melting pot of very particular flavors and aromas.

Creating everlasting memories with the aroma of a cup of coffee

image.png

We celebrated my mother's birthday with her grandson and my brother. She was very happy because we bought her 2 cakes, one chocolate and one strawberry, her 2 favorite flavors! We shared and enjoyed this moment with great joy, but when it comes to cakes, we all know that their flavor somehow improves noticeably the day after and what better time to taste it than with our Paramo Café Mestizo!

image.png

When I opened the package and placed it in the container, I realized the difference of this coffee with respect to its other 2 versions. It is halfway between Paramo Catatumbo and Azabache, which would be the extra dark version. We prepare the coffee in our machine as follows: one measure of 5 tablespoons of coffee and another measure of 5 and a half cups of water, we wait 5 minutes and our coffee is ready to serve!

image.png

image.png

And that's it, friends, we prepare 4 cups of coffee with their respective portions of cake. Tasting this coffee was a pleasant surprise for my mother since she loved this presentation and it is no wonder this coffee is imbued with aromas of almonds with honey, a combination of flavors that I had not tried before and that gives it a unique and exceptional flavor.

And well friends, with this we finish the review of this Paramo Café Mestizo, just like the Catatumbo it has a 10/10 for its flavor and aroma. I hope you liked this post, I made it a little more personal since it coincided with my mother's birthday and this coffee made that moment memorable. We already have 2 coffee presentations reviewed, the Paramo Azabache is missing, which I hope to bring you this review soon and thus finish the Páramo brand Coffee trilogy. Best regards.

Saludos.

I've seen this coffee in different display cases, especially in the center of the city in some coffee shops. But I have not had the opportunity to try it. The next time I see it I will buy it to try it, you encouraged me to make it and if I can with cake even better, congratulations to your mother. Thanks for sharing, greetings!

It's precious that you've found this way to appreciate the small, seemingly trivial moments that in fact make up so much of day-to-day life <3

It's great to see you, as always! Have a Coffee-Licious Day:)

It's never too late, beautiful photos @bulkathos y Felicidades a tu mamá 🎂.

I remember when I left Venezuela, paramo was just starting to make its way and my last coffee in the country I bought it in their coffee shop at the airport.

How nice that your mom gave coffee a chance too, not always the strongest ones are the best to appreciate the delicate notes of the beans. I loved that you could taste those sweet flavors and the almond, what a delight just imagining it.

Of course, I came here for the cake, but I got a great review of the coffee. The packaging besides being beautiful is conditioned to preserve it, so I also consider it interesting to share it, so I can look into the characteristics and origin hahahaha.
