It is a real pleasure to share in this space that I was able to discover thanks to my hiver friends the great taste I have for this delicious drink, not only from a taste point of view but also from the profound impact it has had on the history of my country. And on this occasion I want to share with you more than a particular coffee brand, an anecdote told as an unboxing of my new automatic coffee machine: Daewoo (DA-CM5BK). Let's get started!
Well, to understand how we got to the unboxing, we must first understand the series of unfortunate events that happened previously and well, the story goes like this: not even 3 months had passed since I had bought my mother an Oster automatic coffee maker so that we could make our aromatic coffees. in the mornings and afternoons when in an unfortunate handling of the jug it hit the stone surface of the inn!
And oh friends! You can't imagine the great pain it gave me to see that jug broken at the base, a gift that I lovingly gave to my mother so that we could enjoy our coffees and now we didn't have a jug. The coffee maker worked perfectly! But now we had to collect the coffee in a metal pot and well, you can imagine that much of the aroma and quality of the coffee was noticeably lost.
The thing is that at first we tried to find a jug that matched the brand of this damaged coffee maker, that is: Oster brand. But oh my friend, this was undoubtedly an almost impossible task to achieve because we couldn't find any store that sold it separately.
This forced us to begin a great effort to start gathering funds to buy a new coffee maker, meanwhile the coffee would continue to be collected in a small metal pot.
After several months of meeting, we made the decision that this June would be the month we would buy our new coffee maker. And so it was, we went to the appliance store and chose to buy the automatic coffee maker: Daewoo (DA-CM5BK).
This automatic coffee maker has a capacity for 10 cups, the Oster had 12 but since it is just my mother, my brother and I, 10 cups are enough for 1 and even repeat an extra cup of coffee if it is very good. I loved the instruction booklet more than a long column of letters, it explains the functions of the equipment in a quite didactic scheme.
Of course the coffee maker is essentially the jug and the tank to store the water with the compartment to place the coffee, I really appreciated that it came with the filter, so we won't have to buy disposable filters.
The filter fits on the top of the water heater and a pleasant surprise that I could get with this coffee maker is that it comes with a graduated cup to serve the amount of coffee you want, this did not come in the Oster and not in the Black & Decker that we bought in my work laboratory so this is a great accessory that will help us take the exact measurement when preparing our coffee.
Putting our new coffee maker to the test!
With our coffee maker fully installed, let's put it to the test with one of my favorite Venezuelan coffee brands: Paramo Caribe! This is a softer version than the one I reviewed in my first publication, but that does not detract from its merit as it still maintains high levels of quality.
So without further delay we decided to load the filter with 4 tablespoons of this coffee to make it strong enough, which is how I like to do it. We bring the volume of water up to 4 and a half cups and let it brew for 5 minutes!
And well, friends of the Cinnamon Cup Coffee community, after trying this exquisite coffee I can only tell you that it was worth all the effort putting together and, more importantly, choosing the coffee maker model! I didn't want to taste this Paramo Caribe as it had to be, in a good automatic coffee maker! Es un verdadero gusto compartir en este espacio que pude descubrir gracias a mis amigos hivers el gran gusto que le tengo a esta deliciosa bebida, no solo desde el punto de vista gustativo sino del impacto tan profundo que ha tenido en la historia de mi país. Y en esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes más que alguna marca de café en particular, una anécdota contada a manera de unboxing de mi nueva cafetera automática: Daewoo (DA-CM5BK). Comencemos!
Bueno para entender como fue que llegamos al unboxing primero debemos entender la serie de eventos desafortunados que sucedieron previamente y bueno, el cuento es así: no había pasado ni 3 meses de haberle comprado a mi madre una cafetera automática Oster para que hiciéramos nuestros aromáticos cafés en las mañanas y tardes cuando en un desafortunado manejo de la jarra éste golpeó la pétrea superficie del mesón!
Y oh amigos! No se imaginan el gran dolor que me dio ver esa jarra partida en la base, un regalo que con tanto cariño le hice a mi madre para que disfrutáramos nuestros cafés y ahora no teníamos jarra. La cafetera funcionaba perfectamente! Pero ahora teníamos que colectar el café en una olla metálica y bueno se imaginarán que mucho del aroma y calidad del café se perdía notablemente.
El asunto es que en un primer momento intentamos buscar una jarra que coincidiera con la marca de esta cafetera siniestrada, es decir: marca Oster. Pero oh amigo, esto fue sin duda una tarea casi imposible de lograr porque no conseguimos alguna tienda que lo vendiera separadamente.
Esto nos obligo a comenzar un gran esfuerzo de comenzar a reunir para comprar una nueva cafetera, mientras tanto el café seguiría siendo colectado en una pequeña olla metálica.
Luego de varios meses reuniendo, tomamos la decisión que este mes de Junio sería el mes que compraríamos nuestra nueva cafetera. Y así fue, nos acercamos a la tienda de electrodomésticos y optamos por comprar la cafetera automática: Daewoo (DA-CM5BK).
Esta cafetera automática tiene una capacidad para 10 tazas, la Oster tenía para 12 pero como solo somos mi madre, mi hermano y yo, con 10 tazas basta para 1 e incluso repetir una taza extra de café si esta muy bueno. Me encantó el folleto de instrucciones más que una larga columna de letras, nos expone las funciones del equipo en un esquema bastante didáctico.
Por supuesto la cafetera es en ecencia la jarra y el tanque para depositar el agua con el compartimiento para colocar el café, aprecié bastante que viniera con el filtro, asi no tendremos que comprar filtros desechables.
El filtro se ajusta en la parte superior del calentador de agua y una grata sorpresa que me pude llevar con esta cafetera es que viene con una taza graduada para servir la cantidad de café que quieras, esto no venía en la Oster y tampoco en la Black & Decker que compramos en el laboratorio de mi trabajo así que este es un gran accesorio que nos ayudará a tomarle la medida exacta al momento de preparar nuestro café.
# Poniendo a prueba nuestra nueva cafetera!
Con nuestra cafetera totalmente instalada, vamos a ponerla a prueba con una de mis marcas de café venezolano favorita: Paramo Caribe! Esta es una versión más suave que aquella que reseñé en mi primera publicación, pero eso no le quita mérito ya sigue manteniendo altas cotas de calidad.
Así que sin más demora decidimos cargar el filtro con 4 cucharadas de este café para hacerlo lo suficientemente cargado que es como me gusta hacerlo. Llevamos el volumen de agua hasta 4 tazas y media y lo dejamos colando por 5 minutos!
Y bien amigos de Cinnamon Cup Coffee community después de probar este exquisito café solo puedo decirles que valió la pena todo el esfuerzo reuniendo y más importante todavía escogiendo el modelo de cafetera! No quería degustar este Paramo Caribe como tenía que ser, en una buena cafetera automática!
