Coffee Prompt Week 73. My relationship with caffeine
☕️ "My mother liked coffee guayoyo and sweet; on the contrary, I have always liked black coffee, well loaded. When I lived in my mother's house, to defend the right of every good coffee drinker, I bought my coffee maker and my coffee so I could make and drink it as often as I wanted and how I wanted. I had that duo in my room, well kept and always ready. " @sandracabrera
Caffeine Overload.
☕️ "You know during the festive period, I needed to stay agile, up and alert even during the night time to finish up so many pending clothes so as not to disappoint my clients.
That fateful day, I had made plans to cut a certain amount of fabrics and then sew a certain amount too, so like I always do, I started my day with a cup of coffee and began my project... " @amiegeoffrey
No sleep
☕️ "But one day I did not realize how much I had already drunk a lot and what time it was when I drank the last cup, if I remember correctly it was after 8 pm, it was Sunday and the next day I had to go back to the office and another point is that Sundays are a little fast for me... " @actioncats
CAFFEINE OVERDOSE
☕️ "There were two apparent situations that propelled me to overload myself with caffeine one as a student and secondly as an attendee in an intensive five days national workshop. As I gained admission to pursue my first degree, one of the notion created in me by peer group was that I must read consistently if not I will fail. " @fasacity
Above 1,000% caffeine
☕️ "In order to outsmart sleep, my friend Kenneth suggested we drink caffeinated beverages to help us stay awake. I countered his suggestion, as caffeine didn't always work for me, and instead, I suggested putting our legs in a bowl of cold water while we read. " @kingsleyy
The Pressure…
☕️ "My final year in college would be the year I felt like I was walking on eggshells, it felt like whatever I did was going to determine if I was going to be successful in life and it was a year where I panicked and dealt with anxiety the most. Someone reading this might ask but why? I will explain. " @ibbtammy
Heavy Workload More Coffee
☕️"I started taking coffee during my University days. I love reading and also attending night classes. There are different kinds of students and I am one of those students who tend to assimilate more at night I do not like reading at home because I will get distracted by my bed. So I was always going for night classes " @beeeee
TREMBLING HANDS
☕️ "In Caracas it was customary for students to gather in the city squares in order to prepare for the exams. Between seven and eight o'clock at night, students would begin to arrive with their extension chairs and their thermoses of coffee, and they would remain there until the wee hours of the morning... " @irvinc
#STB Coffee Prompt Week 73 | The work
☕️ "I was studying at the university, I remember that I was in the third semester of a technological career in systems. With a lot of effort and sacrifices, I had reached that point. Many times I had the idea of giving up and continuing with my work, but there was something that kept me going, " @rinconpoetico7
EVERYTHING in excess is bad, even COFFEE
☕️ "The excess of coffee and cigarettes was a deadly combination and at one point the doctor told him: “If you want to die right now, keep going like this, if you want to keep living you must stop NOW”, he immediately stopped smoking but not the coffee... he lasted two days without drinking and then again, but this time a little more conscious and less daily doses. " @yenmendt
A long, long time ago...! A true caffeine tale.
☕️ "We were like a flock of parakeets in the coffee shops (and bars) of my small town. We'd go rampaging here and there, always with a stack of books. Always excited. It was a beautiful time and a time of learning a lot about everything: about writing and about life. With these friends I drank my first beers and had my first, and only, caffeine intoxication. " @adncabrera
To love coffee, without ceasing to love myself.
☕️ "Although I have not had my own experience with a coffee overdose, I did know of a case with some fellow students in my college days. I was in my fifth semester and the study groups were already well marked. Generally I studied with the good conduct group, we had meetings to study and an organic agenda... " @jetta.amaya
