The selected authors share their passion through stories and photos, for their favourite black liquid gold, commonly called coffee, and some special meals that complimented it.
👐 This week, I have restructured the format to start with an amazing, informative, educational, well presented vlog. The author gives an honest feedback of adjustments he will make after a coffee-hiatus;
I particularly found this story substantial, as the month of March is being recognised as Caffeine Awareness Month (there's more information on that in the news section from around the world, in the final section of this post).
Also, some enlightening and uplifting coffee stories; and some read-worthy articles of assorted tea.

"I was expecting a to react to the coffee in a stronger way than I did, so I was surprised not to have. I hadn't had any caffeine, or knowingly so, in two months. I was expecting to feel a little hyper afterwards, but I didn't feel any of that. What did happen though was my heightened senses of smell and taste with regards to the coffee."

"As almost every day I was at home since I am dedicated to generate income from home 💰💻 as well as my husband. This has made our relationship as a couple and as a family even stronger.
We have made it a habit to take a break from our daily work in the afternoon to enjoy a coffee as a family ☕️👨👩👦👦 and most of the time it is accompanied by a snack. This particular day my husband went on a short trip downtown, when I get a call from him....
And he said to me, "Prepare the coffee I'm bringing some sweets for the snack."

Coffee and books, an unforgettable afternoon
"Coffee and books = Boho Coffee
That's the name of this magical place, super nice very creative and already on my list for an upcoming visit.
I would say a magical place, is that to join books + coffee + nice place = what can go wrong.
I had arranged to meet some friends and I went with my kids. They still don't have a flashy ad but what we found inside was, oh surprise! The truth is that it was so different from other coffee shops I have visited, with its bohemian concept and all its decorations confirm it."

How to make Kopi Luwak
"Coffee is created by the luwak eating the fruits of the coffee tree and then excreting the beans together with the feces. The coffee beans must then be collected. The coffee then needs to be rinsed thoroughly and then dried, preferably in the sun. After drying, the coffee beans are placed in a container similar to a large mortar, where the peels are separated. Only then must the good grains be sorted by hand from the bad ones."

Green Coffee - More Than Coffee
"What is green coffee?
Actually, the normal coffee we drink is roasted coffee, whereas green coffee beans are not roasted. Because of this, the nutrition of beans is not reduced due to roasting and processing. Not only this, the amount of caffeine in it is negligible and has anti-inflammatory properties in abundance, which proves to be very beneficial for the skin of men and women alike."

Trip to the doctors :( Comfort Food
"After a good old check-up, the diagnosis is I have a frozen shoulder. That’s the easy bit. It may get worse before it gets better but it should sort itself out in 18 months to a couple of years yikes! Not exactly happy with that. So is there anything we can do to help it along? So after a bit of a chat, we decided on a steroid injection for now. But it’s not exactly simple as it’s a deep injection and it does nip a bit and there is the potential for it to cause more issues than it resolves.
Anyway, I left the surgery in need of a bit of cheering up and made my way straight to my favorite coffee shop, the Wholesome Hippo."

"I was having trouble doing business with the guy and that was affecting my performance and motivation and those are two things I don't like to compromise. Ever...I met the guy at a café of my choice...He understands what I need and why and I understand why it's so damned difficult for him to get it to me...His non-tech savvy nature. Over a couple cups of coffee, we came up with a workable plan and in the several days since the process has jumped forward, so much so the deal is almost secured. Thanks coffee!"

Caffeine - You Are a Thing of Beauty !
"Today seemed like an exercise in futility!
It didn't really matter what I tried to do to work around each obstacle, things just seemed like they didn't want to happen. I've had days like this before and it's the worst kind of day to try anything intricate or creative as they tend to at best just flop, at worst go horribly, dangerously wrong...So today culminated in me being extremely unproductive while drinking a fooktoon of coffee."

Encounter With The Past
"In my childhood and young years I was able to see the great fields of sugar cane and coffee and visit the great mills and haciendas where the grain of the gods was processed. Today there are no mills but there is still a coffee farm which I visited a few years ago, there I was able to learn the whole process until I tasted a cup of the aromatic and delicious drink."

Since I'm here for coffee, I'm just introducing the coffee space here. When you first came to the dispensing counter, the first building that you saw was an entire house with glass walls, which looked very modern."

"It’s a Kenyan coffee. I have to mention that all of the Kenyan coffees that were imported by the Dabov Specialty Coffee team were a pretty good tasting ones. I cannot remember a single coffee from this country that was not special and interesting in taste, so I’m really excited about this one."

Best Cheesecake Brownie In Town
"I used to hang around this place almost daily in my much younger days, about 12 to 13 years ago or more...I wasn't even much of a coffeeholic back then.
Yet, I surely knew this small and classy little joint existed, simply because of that scrumptious cheesecake brownie of theirs that I had once tasted. And to this day, nothing has changed to be honest. The looks here, taste, quality, service, all just as good as day one and it still remains my favorite coffee shop which serves my favorite dessert."

Grandmother's valuable technique
"Every time you make coffee, set aside the coffee grounds (cipo, borra or whatever they call it in your country) in a place, so that it dries completely. When it is already dry, turn on the stove and place the pan or pot you want to cure, when it is hot add the coffee and spread it with a wooden paddle over the entire surface of the pan or pot."

"I love it when I am in a place and the staff is friendly and attentive. It is never too much to accept a delicious cup of coffee and boy was this coffee absolutely delicious.
Once they finished with my service a girl kindly offered me a cup of coffee, which I enjoyed with all my patience, to taste little by little the fabulous drink, also thanking the gesture I received as a customer, being satisfied with the service received."

"I loved the decor, the food, the service and everything else about Kona's Coffee. I particularly liked the fact that I placed my order in English and the cashier responded in fluent native like way. For a moment I felt I was in a temporary bubble outside of Japan. I enjoyed my earl grey tea served with Kona's burger 🍔 fries and my fluffy pancake 🥞."

Eating And Drinking My Tea
"Tea and Parfait
My friend and I decided to go to the cafe together. We ordered tea and parfait. We had tea with and without lemon. She ordered a strawberry parfait and I ordered a melon (cantaloupe) one. Now, if I would make a confession, I’d say, I often and can easily get excited about fruits. I don’t know if there’s a term as “fruit-struck” but this particular tea and parfait experience literally had me fruit- struck and at some point, speechless."

"I remember when I went to Peshawar once and I bought these green tea leaves from there. These were green leaves and when I came home I put them in the sun. Afternoon Tea: With Coffee Cake and Coffee Snack
"The coffee cake is studded with almonds, so when eaten every now and then it will bite into the sprinkles. The taste is quite right, because it is not too sweet, according to my taste which is currently reducing sweet foods.
I usually eat it in the afternoon, while drinking tea or plain water, because there is already a coffee taste in this time. So, don't over-lapping. After cutting this cake should be stored in the refrigerator"

"There's nothing more relaxing than a warm cup of tea and a beautiful view. One of the nice things, almost all traditional coffee shops on this lakeside use local tea, which comes from tea plantations in Siantar, North Sumatra. In contrast to the tradition of drinking tea in England using a beautiful cup, or drinking tea in China using a small bowl. At my place, we are used to drinking tea using one big glass."
