I do the same and have ambient temperature water first thing in the morning before coffee. I know people here in the UK who might have a cup of tea first and then coffee at around 10:00 or 11:00 with a light breakfast.
It's most important to find out what works best for you, especially when incorporating exercises:)

Having water first is actually a good thing for simple detoxification every morning and I enjoy doing it.

Tea before coffee, it's my first time knowing about this but they will definitely have a reason for doing that just like I have a reason for taking water first...
