Hey everyone, I’m Lynn Mascarenhas, a fourth-generation coffee planter with an estate in Karnataka, India. 👩🏻‍🌾 I have a funny memory from two years ago that always gets me laughing.

Our coffee harvest kicks off in December when we hand-pick the red cherries at their peak ripeness. After gathering them, we sort out anything yellow or green to ensure only the best beans go into the processing.

So, here’s the hilarious part 🤣 while we were sorting out the yellow cherries from the red ones, a lady on our team was caught sneaking some cherries into her dress pocket. She must have been really hungry because she was popping them into her mouth. The minute I spotted her, she would stop munching and it was like the perfect comedic timing when even the guy who was processing our coffees caught her in the act.

When I told my mom about the incident, she casually mentioned she knew the lady quite well. Apparently, she had a knack for “borrowing” food from other people’s homes and had some hormonal issues that made her constantly hungry, no matter how much she ate. So, it turns out the cherry heist was just part of her ongoing snack saga! 🍒

Beautiful photos you share with us. Beautiful grains with a wonderful red.

A woman very peculiar, I can imagine how hungry she was to eat the cherries and her expression when she was caught.🥴🤭

I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕untitled.gif

Haha Thank you so much! Yes indeed it was just so unexpected to see her do that. 🤣

Naughty lady! Haha. But I feel sorry for her anyway. Imagine being hungry all the time. It's so sad; it's like being me on Sunday all the time 🤣

🤣🤣 oh my being me on Sunday. Lol. Yes it is sad but to steal in front of your eyes. She seemed so daring.
