Hello friends of cinnamon cup coffee.
Arriving at the grate today, I share an experience that I rate memorable because of all the circumstances surrounding it. I tell you.
Last year I went to visit my children in Spain, while I was there a niece who lives in Prague invited me to spend a few days with her and her family, I gladly accepted the invitation. I spent five wonderful days when we visited beautiful, emblematic places and with the kind company of dear people.
The day of my return, I was left at the airport about three hours before the flight, because her daughters would start school the next day and they still needed things for this school restart, so without any problem I was ready to take my waiting time with good spirits.
I had a good book, a notebook to write a post about the experience and something that distracts me a lot when I wait, is to observe people and build a story around them.
I was walking in this way when I was provoked to have a coffee, I confidently approached one of the many coffee shops in the place and went directly to the cashier to pay for the coffee I wanted, between signs and my broken English, I managed to make the young woman understand me, when I go to pay I take out my dollar bill, the girl tells me that no, they do not accept dollars, only euros or kroner.
Impressed, I walked away in search of another coffee shop, the situation was repeated, I tried to change it in a store buying a beautiful flannel for my son, and they did not accept the dollars either, finally I understood that I would not find a way to pay for a coffee, in other words I had the money, but it was like not having it, because at the airport, no one would accept the dollars.
Somewhat frustrated I went to find a place to sit down and with all the patience in the world I began to search my wallet looking to gather in loose change, the remains of euros that I could find, to my surprise and satisfaction I managed to gather penny by penny the cost of a coffee.
By that time I felt like an addict, so I went out excited to sit in a coffee shop I had seen and very close a young pianist was playing, I went there and like a queen I sat down to taste a rich and creamy coffee, which I paid with loose change, listening to the pianist and watching the sunset. A memorable Bohemian experience.
This experience taught me a good lesson, when I travel I will make sure to have the currency of the place where I go because it is really frustrating to have money and be as if you don't have it.
