Things haven't been the same since the last volcano. The evergreen land filled with coffee plantations were destroyed as well as the oceans polluted. The volcano must have affected the change in climate, making it unfavorable for the survival of coffee trees. The inhabitants moved from village to village in search of fertile land, good enough to grow seeds, but as far as they could go, all lands were barren.
"It's the year 2500, nothing seems to have changed and the government have been able to do just a little" The voice of a presenter came from the local radio. Robert held it up moving from corners in search of a better signal. In fear of another disaster, most of the inhabitants chose to live in caves and valleys. Some traveled west and only rested wherever the night fell.
It was 12 midnight, a creepy sound woke Robert up from his sleep. The darkness around him was thick except for a light that came from a distance, which he believed to be where the sound came from. He followed the track from where the sound emanated and it led him to a tunnel. In the middle of the tunnel, there was a door positioned in the left side of it, he held the door handle and pushed, and it opened with a low creaking sound. He lit his torch around the dark room and saw a medium size bag sealed with a padlock. The smell of coffee filled the air, in a rush he broke the seal and found in it powdered coffee
His hunger for coffee came alive and Just when he pulled the bag out of its position, he realized there were more bags of the powdered coffee, so he called upon his relatives for a feast. They fetched woods from the forest and soon after steamed water to brew the coffee.
"It's a day to once again remember our love for coffee" they said and kept a good amount of the powder to do this once in a while until the climate is favorable again.
