Initiative Coffee Conversation #4: My unusual and unsuccessful experience with coffee

in #hive-1525242 years ago

An unusual experience that I have decided to title....

"The instant coffee that didn't work out..."

I don't know if this could be considered unusual, but for me it was. After enjoying coffee in my favorite coffee shops, I was encouraged to prepare some of them...using only regular coffee, a little milk, and sometimes with sugar, condensed milk and cinnamon.

It all started one day when I decided to take a risk and prepare more complex, cafeteria-like video recipes using soluble coffee.

Some of these coffee recipes especially require the use of this product for its good preparation...and well, since I wasn't much of an expert, I went out and bought the first one I found.

The truth is that I don't know if it's because I don't know how to use it yet, or because it's of poor quality or because I'm just not a barista 😄.

The thing is that after buying it, I was excited to go home and use it to prepare a new recipe I had found.

But when I opened the package, I thought I saw something unusual and different from what I expected.... the coffee was another color!!!

In the tutorial videos they used dark soluble coffee...better known and mostly used by everything and everyone, since obviously this will give the characteristic brown color to the drink.

I had never seen a white coffee before...but I still didn't give up and gave it a try...and the result was obviously not what I expected 😔. And even though I followed the instructions to the letter, the coffee never changed color or turned the way it was supposed to.

So from that day on I learned a great lesson...not to get carried away by pretty product presentations and not to get ahead of myself without first consulting an expert 😸.

Let me know if anything similar has happened to you or if it's me and not the product that has the problem and has no idea how to prepare it.... 😅🤷🏻‍♀️☕

I hope you liked it and I invite you to join this initiative...🤗

Hello, I hope you have a happy morning, the truth is that I was surprised with your experience, I don't know whether to laugh or cry with you, I imagine it was somewhat traumatic to discover that what you bought is not coffee but a non-dairy preparation that simulates milk or rather cream to accompany the coffee. Well, at least you can say that you discovered a way of how not to prepare it. Best regards.

Helloo my friend happy day to you too!!!💕 Hahaha at first I cried but now that I know the real use I laugh with joy haha 😸..... I thought I had lost my money but now at least I will be able to put it to use by combining it with my usual coffee...but yes!!!, it was traumatic @susurrodmistery hahaha . Cheers friend and thanks for visiting!!!!

Now that's unusual, I've seen white chocolate, but white coffee, never.

I don't know what happened. I will have to try again with another brand.

Aromatic coffee greetings.

Hahaha me too😸 that's why I was surprised to find out that it wasn't really coffee but milk...the good thing is that now I will be able to use the product !!!...thanks for visiting me and another greeting to you too 💕

Haha! That's funny.
Coffee Mate is like what butter is to bread 😆
Yes, it's powered cream (milk) that is added for those who don't drink black coffee.
Give the coffee mate another go, but with coffee next time:)1.jpg

Hahaha thanks so much friends!!! for clarifying that step I didn't know...sure! So I will ☺️😸.

Coffee mate isn't actually coffee, it's a milk substitute that is meant to go in the coffee to lighten it or give it flavor, the same way that milk does. It's essentially just powdered milk or powdered cream.

I believe you have to make your coffee first and then add the coffee mate to it 😆

Did your concoction taste like coffee at all or did it taste like milk?

Really @leaky20 ? Now everything makes sense haha....
I had no idea it could be mixed with coffee...thanks so much for the explanation buddy you cleared up a lot of doubts for me!!!!!
I'm going to try it again to see how it goes 😸.
If I'm honest with you...now that I think about it, it didn't taste much like coffee, and since the appearance was very white I preferred not to drink it.
Thanks for your comment!!!☺️💕
